Does todays "update"/patch by CA have any impact on DM2.8+?
This is CA's explination:
"Hi guys,
Just to let you know that we’ve put a small patch live to fix a couple of issues. This isn’t the “big” patch – that will be deployed alongside Rise of the Samurai sometime in September. In the interests of keeping you guys up-to-date, here’s the content of the patch:
Firstly, the Heavy Gunners DLC unit has been tweaked slightly. We’ve altered the range of the unit a little (down from 125 to 100), and have added a minor accuracy penalty. The main fix, though, is the penetration adjustment: basically, the unit won’t shoot through as many ranks now. It’s a tweak rather than a nerf, so the unit will remain familiar to those who know and love them.
The second fix remedies an issue with the Bulletproof Samurai, meaning they’re much more, well, bulletproof. They’re not indestructible, but the unit will take much fewer casualties than a standard unit would from matchlock fire. This is something we noticed wasn’t working as well as it should’ve done – you will see a big improvement here.
We’ve also put in a fix allowing players with an invalid avatar to reset it and play battles.

It also seems to change penetration?
