i played using it for a few battles now but i dont think it has workedi thought it did but i guess not, i was being besieged by Syracuse and they had over 1000 men and all i did was attack and rout 2 of there unit only 2 ! and then the whole of there army started to rout which is sooo annoying when u want a proper battle so the moral still needs some work im afraid
i shall post screen shots of what happened asap
I am in the process of compiling historical events list, annual news flashes from around the 'known world' I will be using mostly Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon and Antiochus of Syracuse, and where necessary modern writers. Plus quotes from the likes of Aeschylus, Aristophanes among others and maybe some excerpts from the Epitaphios logos etc Might take me a while, but should add some immersive feeling
Thucydides should be a colossal goldmine for this sort of stuff in the later period.
Attachment 179512
before i attacked
Attachment 179513
after i attacked just 2 of there units
i only had 1 unit chasing them
Attachment 179514
and this was the out come btw all those kills i got was from routing enemy's
I have no fuggin idea what happened there or why. When I tested it in battle, it operated far more like a Europa Barbarorum match; a unit of 120 hoplites would hold a defensive line and not break until they were reduced to something like 40 or 30 men left, and I held a full Hoplite unit locked into a pointless battle with a smaller force (like 120 vs 100), keeping them away from the main center of action near the center of the city, resulting in more enemy casualties but still I lost the battle.
Are you playing Custom game or Campaign? I highly doubt this would make a difference somehow. I'm going to try a battle now to test it.
EDIT: My custom battle test was sort of a disaster. Athenian Somatophylakes withstood a frontal charge from missile cavalry perfectly, but everything else was quick.
I think this might be due to the kill rate being somewhat high.

I don't know how to deal in killrates outside of M2TW. My alternate suggestion would be increasing the armor points of every unit,
