    i have a question:
    except for one building (merchant warf i think), most other economic buildings seem to not be worth building
    i look in the city stats and i see that if i build a dockyard for 4800 i get a 150 boost per turn
    so now i got some money but i dont know what to build with it
    not to mention that roads do not add any money at all according to that same stats page

    one more question
    for some reason the AI wont accept peace even when i add lots of money and completely outmatch him
    AND he is being pwnd from another front by someone else
    no diplomacy is just one less component of the game

    Those buildings add increased trade as well, so you're not only getting the 150 or whatever.

    As for diplomacy, have you been killing prisoners and sacking towns?

    yeah.. i read about that since i posted
    i was sure before that sacking is a neutral behaviour
    anyway once my rep got up to dubious they started accepting some of my offers
    i want to commend you for making a good working economic balance
    of course ill have to play with more than just rome to see if it works
    but in my current campaign im satisfied with it very much
