Re: What was the biggest battle
I believe it was the battle of Malplaquet in 1709.
161,000 men took part together with 180 guns.
32,000 men were killed or wounded.

Re: What was the biggest battle
Battle of lezpig had over 600k troops, largest prior ro WW1 in the war of the 6th coalition. It was fought by french troops vs prussia, russian, sweden, austrian troops. Out numbered over 2 to 1, napolean lost losing 38k in troops and another 20k captured but inflicted 50k plus in casulities to the coalition. Good battle.

Re: What was the biggest battle
Thats true, but it was outside the time frame specified by Fonsy in the opening post. ETW period ends in 1799 I think, unless it's been modded.

Re: What was the biggest battle
This site had a poll on the most famous battle but Didz is probably right about Malplaquet, I didn't look them all up. Blenheim was voted top.

edit; I looked up one at random,Rocoux. The French had 120 k and the allies 80-97k so perhaps that was the biggest.
