New DLC Rise of the Samurai

Hi everybody!!

I'm happy to see the new DLC on the Genpei War!! May i suppose Darth & Co. will strike back?

The Taira clan was destroyed, and the Minamoto victory was followed by the establishment of the Kamakura shogunate. Though Minamoto no Yoritomo was not the first to ever hold the title of Shogun, he was the first to wield it in a role of nationwide scope. The end of the Genpei War and beginning of the Kamakura shogunate marked the rise of military (samurai) power and the suppression of the power of the emperor, who was compelled to preside without effective political or military power, until the Meiji Restoration over 650 years later.
In addition, this war and its aftermath established red and white, the colors of the Taira and Minamoto standards, respectively, as Japan's national colors. Today, these colors can be seen on the flag of Japan, and also in banners and flags in sumo and other traditional activities.

My favourite thing about teh announced DLC has to be the hybrid bow/melee unit. I don't play Chosokabe campaigns because I cannot rationalise to myself that they wear worse armour and cannot use their katanas even remotely as effectively as a regular katana samurai unit can.

Oh, and of course I'm ripe for a different strategic situation on the map.

And there'll be no need to debate the merits of bows vs matchlocks

Nice to see that some are positive about the upcoming DLC.
Its getting old watching people bash CA and their DLC policy just for the sake of doing so.
I will gladly pay anything they ask for this one as it sounds very interesting.

Thats odd thinking that because 90 years earlier, the Crusades had already been going on.

I am looking forward to a new campaign as well.

Especially since DarthMod means I never win a campaign anymore.

Can't wait until the new campaign is out, and DM'd to the point I can't win that one either!!!

can't wait for rome 2. julii faction is default, brutii is a preorder dlc from gamestop and scipii from amazon.

Everybody immediately relax. While I myself completley and utterly disapprove of the DLC policy, this is most certainly not the place to discuss it. Trice so with half of you treating each other like sworn enemies.
It's understandable that there is a hot debate over the matter, but take it to the appropriate forum.
