the best and real battle ever created

i have created this battle for rtw. an army of 79.070 roman julii soldiers is marchin against the mighty hannibal army in cannae. 40.000 carthaginians ready to fight! the battle is the most real, epic and huge battle ever made for a game! the map is single player and u can play only with the romans



people can ask me? why u put legionaries and not hastati ecc? cuz it's a work in progress. i was needed to see if the game ctd! soon i will post the battle with hastatii, triarii ecc

That is going to be so laggy, that must be a less than 1fps battle.

The pictures tell it all, i guess it's so hard on the processor that the computer can't even take a picture properly, let alone actually play the battle.

Lol, I like the 20-line roman battle formation. Hastati, Pricipes, Triarii, 'nother Triarii, the realy triarii, more triarii then the triarii triarii, the triarii of the apocolypse...

the last pics with hastatii etc was the real battle i made. for the carthaginians i have used mercenaries, numidian cavalry, poeni infantry etc. next time i will post the army
after that, i will work to a new historical battle more correct, the siege of carthage. new units and skin!

what specs do you have? there must be some horribly intolerable lag happening there.

my 9800 pro is goin to die. some gpu problems. my battle with 120.000 men on the battlefield is causing a terrible lag on the map. something like 1fps every 5 minutes

He hasn't even added the Carthaginians yet, the outcome should be interesting. (I wish my computer could get past 5,500 men without lagging...I seriously need a computer that can handle current games. :disgust )

Excelent pics, but i have a question how did u manage to mod in 119,070 soliders? the limit was around 32,000,with all the armies maxed out and stuff.

I've done that before, with the battle editor. Except I know the limit's of my computer and do not wish for anything to get messed up, so the max I've had was around what, 68,000 soldiers for the Romans, and around 50,000 for the Carthiginians, although I was forced to delete it due to the mass amounts of lag.

well. i think i will never put downloadable this battle. the game goes too slow. too many lags etc.
