Battlefield defenses
Currently I'm finding that I can't entrench troops or erect chevaux-de-frise, but I can throw up defenses for my gun batteries. Is this is a bug, or is it a deliberate move and if so, what's was the reasoning behind it? I've noticed quite frequently besieged garrisons sallying out from behind battlefield defenses, so I'm a little curious as to what's going on.
Also, french guard chasseur a cheval, are they meant to have carbines? They appear to only have sabres, but standard chasseur a cheval have carbines as well.
I'm playing version 1.0 with the naval fix.

Re: Battlefield defenses
Also, late game I've noticed armies spamming rocket troops. Do you think that these should be limited?

Re: Battlefield defenses
Rockets?
they are useless.... did you find them difficult to overcome?
They look terrific but they kill 5 or 10 throughth the whole game

Re: Battlefield defenses
No sorry, I think I've mis-phrased my suggestion. I play a lot of single player. I've found ai opponents spamming rockets. They're very easy to overcome, that's my point.
