A very much deserved honour, the process has shown how the whole community values Simetrical's epic hard work, time and contributions in making TWC a much better place. His input will be felt on this site for many many years to come, and indeed he still even today looks out for the community as a Technical Advisor. If you've some technical skills yourself, why not consider dropping by the Technical Bazaar and offering your assistance to the well run Technical Staff Sim created?

I ask the Curia to join with me in congratulating Sim on all his efforts and the decision of the Curia to deify him on behalf of the whole community here. Well, thanks. I learned a lot from helping to run the site for so long. Nowadays I've moved on to other things, but I'll certainly remember my stay here for a long time to come. Both all the technical stuff I got the opportunity to learn through experience, and all the miscellaneous facts about the political, military, and cultural history of the Mediterranean in the period 270 BCE to 14 CE that I picked up from working on RTR here. (The latter actually come in handy more often than you'd think!)

Happy to read of this much deserved accolade being bestowed. Happier still that Sim's contributions have extended beyond his own colossal involvement in the running of the site, as evidenced by the capable hands he was able to leave the server gods in. May he dine in the halls of Olympus.
