didn't CoW combine 4 factions? if you kill the other 3 chaos factions you would become chaos undivided.

well in the essence that it will have historical characters yes. In the essence of new all historical units and superhistorical no. It will be Normal TLK with one more norway faction, the base units are the same as the rest of the norway factions except with 1 special unit, in the same manner as the others. But i will not make this a 1region faction, they will hold both tjotta and nidaros.

To be honest I have been (strongly) thinking about the same as Håkon Grjotgardson and his family to come is one of my primary specialities/focuses.
The reason I have not gone for it is because it's actually easier to keep it historical with heirs, sons and whatnot when the faction does not have their own family tree. If you take a look at my submod http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=468155 you will notice he is added as a general as he was one of Harald's strongest allies. You will also notice I've changed Nidaros to Hladir because Nidaros historically is considered founded by Olafr Tryggvason much later.
Let me know if you have any questions/considerations you'd like a second opinion on since (as I said) this is my primary focus.

Grjótgarðr Hákonsson (895-953) (although there's no place written that two of Hákon's kids were named Grjótgarðr, history suggests that there were two of them. Since one of them died early, Hákon likely still wanted to bring his fathers name to the next generation).

Haraldr Fairhair married Åsa in 868, thereby sealing the alliance from 865/866 with Hákon Jarl (she was likely offered up before she reached the proper age of marriage).

Hákon Jarl Grjótgarðsson was Jarl of Ørland and Hålogaland when he approached Haraldr. To conquer the whole Trøndelag region Haraldr and Hákon had to defeat 8(!) other kings of the different fylkis. In my submod I've put several historical kings in the areas of interest, though you can of course make them rebel armies.

For your information, it seems like my submod may be incorporated into tLK and I would therefore be happy to advice you further to make tLK even more historically correct. And Vestfold will only start with Vestfold region, they will have to conquer all others.
Due to historical reasons I would suggest to use only Hålogaland as starting region as there was several battles fought to gain control over the entire Trøndelag region.

Well, my submod is pretty much ready but it will conflict with yours as long as I have Håkon as a general and add his family members as emerging generals. In addition you will have played with several of the same files as I, not to mention the tLK team's changes after the beta 3.05 release.

If you want to correct the problem of too weak it's an easy matter of adding more armies to Nidaros or remove some from the other factions. Even removing the other faction's settlements is an easy task.
