    Default CTD by fighting sieges

    Hi,

i had some problems by fighting sieges in Stainless Steel 6.4. While they were loading i got a CTD.
Then i downloaded reallyBadAi and i heard that i should use the normal setup for SS, so i used this setup an first i took two points of ReallyBadAI ("G5 ReallyBadAI Battle System v5.0" and "G5 ReallyBadAI Hardcore addon")and it worked quite well but the third thing("G5 Emergency Battle CTD fix) which is the most important thing and i need it to fix the CTDs doesnt work.
    This error appears:

    Error while processing CTD_fix.txt
    File data\text\historic_events.txt does not contain:
'_ (not write written --> my comment)

    Operation aborted.

    And a second one too:

    Error while processing CTD_fix.txt
    File data\test\export_advice.txt does not contain:
'_ (not write written --> my comment)

    Operation aborted.

I Dont know what to do and i really want SS to play

I m sorry for my bad english, so please write in a simple way because i m from austria and i m not very good at technical things

EDIT: "5) turn UAC (User Account Control) off, if using Vista/Win 7 and proceed to step 6 - absolutely necessary to keep any stability"

How can i turn of UAC and where?

Here´s a german tutorial how to turn that off - it also refers to the thread here in the TWC. Probably not having turned it off is causing Your problems - StSt should be installed after.

You could also visit the Strategiezone. But there´s no solution for bigger problems.

Just give it a try - i would start a new campaign without any fix that is just needed if anything goes wrong and see how it will work out.

    @Tauron

Also remember to delete compatibility folder and tick "run as admin" when running RBAI setup (reposted from the thread ): Right-click mod's (RBAI setup in this case) icon, choose Properties, choose Shortcut tab, click Advanced, tick "Run as administrator", then click "ok".

If you need to verify if you disabled UAC correctly, you'll find al info in the troubleshooting thread (1st post, "Extended info on disabling UAC...").

Issues with CTD on loading battles are more commonly caused by improper installation, so CTD fix may not help at all (disabling file could let you continue old game though, but it doesn't really fix anything, it just enables compatibility mode).
