That explains it. You gotta fanatically level one or two trees at a time. Thats how Murphy finished all the tech trees so quickly. That or the USMC is the. If you get in the clanwars right now they wont care that you are leveling all trees simultaneously and that its why you dont have a few tanks from the end of a tree to use. they will shoot you. just focus one 1 first, get the maxed out tank and then bring up the rest simultaneously if you want but you really need that one awesome thing in case of an emergency.
I'd suggest the KV-3, that said though I never played the KV-1S, I just recommend the KV-3 on account of it being pretty good![]()
That is only true if you want to get into clan wars. I have no real interest in clan wars so there is no great need to just go up one branch at a time.
Let me play the game how I want, not how you think I should play it.
There is currently about 100K experience tied up in premiums and vehicles like the KV-3. I'm wating to see if there is anything to help me on the 12th August - but I doubt it. The experience is there to be converted in order to 'pimp' the IS-4 (soon to be added only 10K experience to go).
I did play the KV-3 during the beta and decided to go the KV-1S path for the released version. I regretted it fairly quickly.
The KV-1S is between a medium and a heavy it's not really either. Yes, you do get the same final 122mm gun as the KV-3 but until then you have 76mm or 85mm guns or the 122mm U-11 HE spammer. With the KV-3 you get the 107mm and the 100mm D10T on the way to that gun.
If you are in a group of 15 tier 6 tanks that would not be a problem but if there is one fully upgraded KV-3 on the enemy team and one fully upgraded KV-1S (you) then your side is slightly disadvantaged already.
If you play it properly as a medium/heavy then you may do OK with it.

When you get the KV-3 remember that even in fully upgraded form it is SLOW. You get passed by Hetzers as if they were in the 'fast lane' on the motorway/freeway.....
One of the advantages of doing multiple tank trees for the same country is that there are times when you unlock a gun on the heavy line (for instance - KV-3 and the 100mm D10T) and you will find the same gun on the medium line will also have been unlocked - it still costs to mount it but you won't have to research it.
This does not happen if you do the TD and one of the tank trees - usually the TD gun is different in some manner or form to the tank gun.

The Hetzer was pretty bad in the beta before they added the final engine - it was get into a position and don't even think about moving.
Later on after the patch which added the final engine I was in another vehicle (I can't remember which) and a Hetzer just drove by. I could not believe it.
The KV-3 likes going down hills - not up them!

Yeah, the Hetzer was like 15 kph max in the beta, I didn't like it much and then I quit playing.

Guys, calm down, it's a freaking game. Make peace and play a cople game's together, problem solved.
I did, and i failed to find any drama. A complete waste of my time.
I did not assume that it was your ambition, it is simply the only thing i can beed with to give advice on. I could not care less about how you choose to play any part of the game.
Considerably late but:
Does speed realy matter? unless your throwing yourself into the fray or need to suddenly get back to base its not that big of an issue. Id rather have a big heavy mobile gun platform then a zippy thing anyday.

If you are to slow you are an easy hit for arty and others. (Maus for example)
True, but really you shouldn't be putting yourself in a position in the open were you can be hit in such a way.
