It seems that Di Matteo will not be going to the unemployment centre in London, at least for a couple more months.
What makes a real American? A cowboy hat? Enjoying a fine T-bone
steak? Going to a baseball game? Shooting a gun? Maybe it’s the freedom to go
into a poor country and tell them how to do things?! Heh! Those are all great
qualities! But one thing that makes a true patriot is the ability to choose
an American car! When you buy an import you take a hot meal off a hard
working American’s table. There, there! This poor girl is going
to starve to death, just because you bought a cheaper, more efficient
Maibazu. Without gross symbols of excess, what will Americans have to look up
to? Our great industries is a threaten! Cars, pornography, armaments! And
they need your help! So the next time you buy a car, a piece of adult
literature or a missile defense system! Make sure you do the American thing!
Was it bad of me to wish John Terry fell off that ledge?

Teams gain entry to the Champions League based on league performance.
If your not even good enough to finish in the top 4 of your league competition after 38 games, then of course you don't deserve to be in it the next season, as opposed to a team who did meet the standard requirements and were good enough over 38 games.
Stoke don't get much credit, neither do Greece's '04 team. Chelsea deserve credit but watching a team ride through due to luck (which they have in all but the Napoli fixture at Stamford Bridge) isn't going to win over many fans. Not to mention they've been outplayed in the majority of games.
Eitherway, it's good for Liverpool. We get through to the group stages of the EL, Spurs lose the pull of CL football and possibly now lose Modric/Bale whereas Chelsea would've strengthened anyway and Bayern stay on 4 European Cups.
S'all good.
Did anyone else notice that Bosingwa appeared to block John Terry out of all the pictures and take centre stage during the trophy presentation?
Muh signature is so out of date all muh pictures died.
I just bought some milk, put the kettle on, made my cup of tea, stirred it nicely and BLOODY JOHN TERRY'S LIFTED MY CUP.
Also, Terry was in his strip cos he needs to keep his suit clean for his court case. HERR DERR.

That's why the winners should be allowed to defend their title but not at the expense of other teams, there should be a separate berth for the defending champions like there is in CONMEBOL competitions.
Outplayed home and away by Barcelona, completely massacred at Napoli and getting away with one goal out of… how many attempts? Three? Today they had a couple corners while, with Bayern, I lost count after the 20th. Aaahhh…

Spurs didn't get into the champions league due to UEFA, you could also argue that Motherwell shouldn't be in next seasons champions league either
Bayern have now redefined the word choker
I think the team with the lowest UEFA coefficient who did not win their league should be tossed out of the CL. I am fairly sure Norway got 2 spots for the qualifying rounds, and to be honest there is no way the team that finished 2nd is deserving to be in the Champions League ahead of Spurs.
Not that I mind this year, because not having Spurs in CL is awesome.

Yeah it starts to get frustrating. They play the best football Germany has every played, yet always fail at the end. Pretty much the opposite of the stereotypical Germany wins no matter what stuff of the past.
But I do not see it as a "trend" or something. Each game is a chance in it's own right, sometimes you lose, it happens. Better luck next time.
It was nice to see a Champions League final contested between two evenly matched teams. The two Barcelona - United finals were very poor spectacles as Barcelona were by far the better side on both nights, dominating the game really.
Last night, both teams had spells of controlling the game and it was a much better game for the neutrals.

Well we can safely say that last season is the worst thing that could happen to football. and im not saying that because of the way chelsea played itself into the final (and in the final itself). its their right to play like that, and it has proven effective (especially against barca). Milan already knew that, and ad a good chanche of progressing, up until the fifteen minutes kuipers thought he was santa claus.
Im saying it because the money has finally paid off. there is offcours man city, who blew 400M on players last 3 seasons, but lets not forget that chelsea is still being run by a dodgy russian. And this season it has spread to other parts of europe. both barca and real are bankrupt, just like the two spanish teams who played the EL final. in france PSG still has a small chanche at the title, and even in the netherlands, there is now a small club going for european football, sponsored by a georgian billionaire.
A tough and lucky Chelsea beat the incompetent to win Bayern.
I mean Bayern not only threw away the advantage of playing in but the advantages during the match...
