Canvas Shakos

Hello Gentlefolk,

I am Honour The Fallen. I have been modding NTW for a while now and have my own personal mod which i will hopefully be releasing soon.

The idea behind it is for more reality with skins, AI and unit sizes.

I need some help with something though!

How would i go about making the French infantry have canvas covers for their Shakos?

I want to try and have the french infantry have a mixture of 2 different types of canvas covered shako's and the vanilla shakos. Thank you in advance People.

This is obviously a belgique shako which weren't worn by the french but its a good example.



here's the second:



The french used canvas covers for their shakos for campaigns during mid to late war. However the longer a unit was in the field etc the more slack regulations became on their head wear. So hence why some have covers and some don't. Nco's and officers tended not to wear covers as well.

and what units do u want to have the Canvas covers on there shakos

here is the canvas shako.
(it overwrites the Grenadier shako)

just tell me what units u want to use it (can have a mix of the canvas and default shakos)
and also ive done some other minor changes on the uniforms (for the better)
removed the Chevrons on the arms of the uniforms.

Perfect! Just what i was looking for, although maybe a little lighter?

The idea is to put them with the line infantry (fusilers) and have a mixture of shakos, original and canvas . .

Is this possible?

i did a new try and this time used a white cover is this better or worse (will do some polishing on it if its a go)
and what colour do u rather want it to be? White black grey or beige.
And also so u only want it with the fusiliers? (and a mix of Original and Canvas shakos)

If I may, could I suggest you alter the bottom portion so it does not end so abruptly - it would likely be dirty as it would be handled a lot, and you might suggest pieces underneath it. For example:

Install is simply Drag and drop into the data folder no user scripts needed.
It should be compatible with most mods except France retextures.
