This is where you can sign up your character for the Brother against Brother IH. Even if you're neutral or an expeditionary force, you still need to come up with at least a main character, maybe some corps commanders for your army once it gets big enough.
Main character format:Corps Commanders format:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Pic: Self-explanatory, not mandatory though.
Name: Self-explanatory.
Alignment: Gold/Black Whig for Northerners, Gentleman/Fire-Eater for Southerners. You don't need to fill this in if you're one of the neutrals (until you pick a side) or exp. forces.
Age: Be realistic - I don't want 8 year olds leading armies
Date of Birth: Also self-explanatory.
Marital Status: Are you married? Single? Divorced, or unfortunately widowed?
Children: Don't forget name, age & gender.
Ethnicity: Keep in mind that this is 1801 America, so we're unlikely to see, say, a Thai general.
Home State: Keep in mind that this is 1801.
Prewar occupation: Again, be realistic - no astronauts running for Senator here.
Religious Views: Self-explanatory. Nothing anachronistic (ex. atheists running for office in the ultra-conservative South) please.
Biography: Self-explanatory. I want to see at least a paragraph for main characters, the longer the better (well, usually - I don't want to have to see a bowl of literary diarrhea either).
Personality: Also self-explanatory. I want to see at least three sentences. And lastly, an explanation for 'Alignment':Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Pic: Self-explanatory, not mandatory though.

For Northerners:For Southerners:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Gold Whig - You are a member of the now-defunct Whig Party's moderate wing. You are more likely to be lenient toward the South and to favor merciful policies when it comes to dealing with southern states in need of reintegration. On the flip side, you are likely an opponent of civil rights for blacks, freed or not, and of abolition as well in the days before the conflict. Real life examples would be Andrew Johnson, and indeed Lincoln himself later on.
Black Whig - You are a member of the now-defunct Whig Party's radical wing. You are more likely to pursue aggressive, ruthless policies to the South up to and including mass pillaging and the emancipation of every slave you come across, and to favor a harsh policy toward southern states in need of reintegration. On the flipside, you are likely a proponent of civil rights for blacks, freed or not, and of abolition as well in the days before the conflict. This is actually a fairly interesting alignment: you can choose to represent yourself as a well-intentioned extremist who sees slavery as a moral evil that must be expunged by any means necessary and civil rights as a natural right that must be restored also by all means necessary, ala John C. Fremont or even better, John Brown; you can be a man who feels that it is best to quickly and ruthlessly break the South down so as to minimize suffering in the long run, such as William T. Sherman; or lastly, you could just be a homicidal maniac hiding his atrocities behind the Radical ideology, that's fine tooSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Gentleman: You are the quintessential Southern gentleman, fitting the stereotype of a well-dressed and well-mannered character of good birth who owns a plantation and slaves to varying degrees. You are more likely to be lenient toward your Northern opponents, and to behave in a civil and restrained manner on and off the battlefield. An example would be Robert E. Lee himself; this needs no explanation.
Fire-Eater: You are the South's answer to Northern Black Whigs, a ferocious and highly aggressive leader of men who may or may not possess demonic charisma, but certainly will have little to no qualms with the employment of brutal tactics such as scorched earth and the slaughter of enemy prisoners to prove a point or break their spirit. This is another interesting one: You can choose to play this alignment as a historical Fire-Eater, that is an ardent defender of slavery such as Edmund Ruffin or Robert Rhett; a brutal, bitter commander who nevertheless has some principles buried very, very deep inside such as Nathan B. Forrest, as can be gleamed from his last recorded speech; or just a flat-out murderous thug using the war as an excuse to let out the worst in you, like the infamous Quantrill's Raiders.
