Video MB Question

I was wondering about the pros and cons about using all the video memory MB for Total War: Shogun II. I know you can edit the amount of MB in the script. My video card allows for 1024 MB. What would happen if I use all of the MB? Would my computer heat up? I saw a thread saying if I use all of my MB, there's a chance that it can cause damage to my graphics card.(do not remember where the thread is anymore). I know for the pro side, you can get better performance, but what else? Do the graphics increase? My power supply is 350w and the case is standard, nothing special. It is a Dell XPS 8100. As it pertains to Shogun, the game will disable some settings or lower them, if you do not have enough video memory. However, your using a 350 watt power supply that will be stressed while playing this game over the long run. What that means, is that the power supply will not be able to provide constant and adequate power to your components and a fire extinguisher will be needed to put out the fire that will soon happen. I do not see how using all the RAM on the video card will damage anything as the RAM is supposed to be there and its stress-tested to not fail.

Ah, I see. What power supply would you recommend for ultra/high settings? And also, if you would know a good source to learn how to take out/put back a power supply. Thanks.

and 650watt, and get a good brand like antec/corsair/fsp group/seasonic

spend atleast 50 usa dollars and measure your current one (LxWxH) to make sure you order the right size.
