Very cool mod. I'm playing as a Polish gentryman with a fetish for exotic gear (facemask, elite scimitar, and eastern scale, lol). It's great fun fighting the Mongols.

Nope. I was thinking this mod (1257 AD) was ported to Warband, not started as a Warband mod. I might be wrong though

Well, kind of. Othr started it as a submod of 1257 Edition after it died, and later ported it to warband. But the pre-warband version contains only 6 factions with a much smaller map (around calradia size) and i am not sure if the link is available anymore.

But the aforementioned "1257 Edition" for 1.011 is pretty close to how the pre-warband version of this mod was.

Btw. I asked because Warband runs very bad on my PC, despite having 3-4X of the optimal system reqs. I stopped playing warband (and mods) until Talewords releases an optimisation patch.

I am running warband with this mod, with medium-high settings and 400 battlesize on a measly 8600gt and an old 5200+ processor, with 2gb ram

. Unless you have an even worse rig, warband should run fine as it is

. It must be some other problem that must be causing the performance loss

.

What is the issue btw, crashes or lag?

Actually my PC is better, but that doesn't help.
I have massive stuttering and lag on battle maps whenever there is a bigger group (when lines clash or at siege ladder). Also some suspicious delay when loading scenes.

I have tried every troubleshooting tip possible (there is a section on talewords/1257 AD on the subject too), but no improvement.
