Nizam-i-Cedid VERSUS! Beylik Janissary
Hello,
I am currently playing as the Ottomans (first time actually, never played them in Napoleon before at all), and I am really enjoying this new experience (are the Nizam-i-Cedid research techs from Napoleon or added with TROM, btw?)
However, I am currently wondering what is the actual advantage of the Nizam-i-Cedid line infantry. The Beylik Janissary musketeers have the exact same stats, except for better meelee stats - and still they are a tad cheaper! Are the stats without the effects of missing bayonets or something, or what is the advantage of the Nizam?

The technologies are from TROM2. The Jannisaries have no bayonets (= no bayonet melee bonus) and can't form squares, which is a big disadvantage against cavalry.

Then: awesome job TROM! This is simply great work. What is the bayonet meelee bonus exactly? Since it doesnt seem to be reflected in its stats.

Bayonets give a hidden melee bonus of +2.
