I researched a bit, and well, wouldn´t they be heavily greek-influenced? I mean, they aren´t greek, but they were heavily influenced by them. You couldn´t just convert Parthia to Atropatene, you would have to make some changes.

AOR stands for Area of Recruitment.. it opens a whole new level of recruitment to the game based on regions.. for example Median Cavalry would only be able to be recruited in Media, Balearic Slingers on the Balearic Islands etc. its great

Yes they were.

Antigonos Gonatas, who was ol' Antigonos' grandson if my memory serves me correctly, took the opportunity the Celtic invasion of Macedonia and Greece gave him and took Macedon for himself. His dynasty was basically in control of Macedon for the rest of the Hellenistic period - they are what in vanilla is the Macedonian faction

Never became a superpower like under their namesake, but they were a power nonetheless.
edit: Yeah, Antigonos Gonatas was Antigonos' grandson.
Gonatas' father was, in fact, Demetrius I of Macedon, who's better known for besieging Rhodes (and building the famed Helepolis), and then failing at that. The Rhodians used the money they got from looting the abandoned camp to build a statue. Well, you know which statue, so I'm not going to explain that

Atropatene is a great choice, I support it. But the roster would be very different.

You see, although the first king of Atropatene was Atropates, the Persian satrap of Media, it was not Persian, much less Parthian. Media Atropatene, as it is often known, was a mountainous and heavily forested area roughly corresponding with Azerbaijan (the real one, not the Soviet instituted state in caucasian Albania), thus limiting cavalry operations. It was populated by various Iranian peoples, mainly Medes. The "European" climate of Atropatene encouraged the development of excellent infantry and light cavalry, akin to Hyrcanians, Deylamis, Gilanis and Sogdians.

The Parthians inhabited Khorasan, a much more open and arid region
