I don't see anything "naked" about them
play the vanilla RTW game and you will find "Naked Fanatics" that look just like those on
Dacia
Gaul
Germania and
Spain
I have found Chosen Archer Warband for Briton as well as Warband (The one with the shirt similiar to rebels and mercenaries) for:
Britons
Gauls
Germans
Dacia
Scythia
Hello, HRTW team. I'll be unofficially joining you as a researcher and (when I get my computer fixed, which will be soon) a beta tester. I've been in contact with ahow and he's okayed it.My primary area of expertise in the historical researcher role is the Greeks, but I can probably help out with the Romans, too.

Calvin and TosaInu, in a better place together, modding TW without the hassle of hardcoded limits. We miss you.

Welcome Spartan198! If you have any questions about research ask Asgaroth as he is head researcher/historian, and he is my right hand man.
I like the sandish effect on the General's Banner! What you guys think..? I got really irritated with the placing of the eagle on the banner of the left i mean trying to find the right spot for it xD

yes greek style banner
I absolutely agree: Don't mess too much with the factions! Simply change a few names. Germanic Tribes and Tribes of Gaul sounds good. Even better might be Celtic Tribes. Maybe we can have both. Keep Tribes of Gaul for the Gauls and have Celtic Tribes for the former Brits and Belgians, a faction that might spawn from Britain to Celtiberia and even Galatia. I've done it in my New map scenario and it works well. There the Gauls have about ten regions, but no continuity and thus they act pretty much as independent tribes. The only thing to do is give them those specific units you propose.
I disagree. Your idea to start a faction with just one region is not working. You must not only think of what a human player can do, but also what the computer will do. If he has only one region he will never unite anything. Please think of the fact that you play only one faction, while the other 20 are opponents. Nobody wants to fight against Gauls who have only one region. It's no match. To have a good storyline you need to compromise. Every faction needs at least three regions. But don't give them all of their territory. Leave a few regions to the slaves, so everybody, computer and human players, has a first task to unify the regional tribes or cities. To be working, the relation between the nation (Germans, Gauls, Iberian, Britons) and the independent slaves in their region must be at least 2:1. That is, for every slave city in Gaul the Gauls faction must have two. Only this way you can hope to have some kind of nationbuilding process.
I must really think then.. I want to have a good challenge for the human player and a good starting point for the Gauls as ai.. i think this is where the "Free People" factor comes into play.. I will take a look at the map and come up with something.
