Where I live, everything is too far to bike to and I've grown sick of the sight of my parents. I want a car so I can be actually free and able to make my own decisions on things. Also, having a car really helps with getting a girlfriend. It also means I don't have to introduce her to my parents, also, and so therefore avoid embarrasment.

Yea I waited to be able to bea menacebehind the wheel before even bothering to date, but soon you will learn that car needs money, girl needs money, therefore you need job and if there isn't really anyone special that you know, dating really becomes not worth it at your age
