    I have this too. I think this happens if a battle starts in morning or evening. I have had 2 Battles like this.

    I have found the problem with the savegames:
    I have modded the EDU (Cavallry). In other Mods like Third Age or S&S i can make changes without crashing my old saves. With this Mod it is not possible to do that. I do not know why.

    So with the modded files i can not start one save because i have changed the mod after starting the campaign with wessex. With the Vanilia-Files i can load the Normandy-Campaign.

    Now i am playing Denmark and unitl now all is ok. I am Saving and reloading every round and all is ok.

    Firstly gr8 mod! Installed np, however, none of the faction's banners are showing up on the Battle Map. Everything else is fine - they are visible on the Strat Map. I looked at the Data - Banners folder within the Mod folder, all the textures are there but there are only TGA symbols 1-9. Has anyone else had this prob or is there a straight forward explaination?

    All you have to do is double click the installer (with all the parts in one folder).
    Once the install finishes you double the desktop link saying: "The last Kingdom"

    This might be a case of the Virtual Store if your OS is Vista or Windows7. Check here for a possible solution: How To Fix UAC and VirtualStore Problems

    Add this line in the CFG file (opens with Notepad) in the [video] section:
    show_banners = 1

    Help i've installed all of the three file but then it says

    "The Last Kingdom" has not been totally installed because of the following reason:

    File corrupt or unreadable:
    mods\Last_Kingdom\data\sounds\Music.dat

    You will have to run this utility again to completely install "The last Kingdom"

    It's annoying please help i'm stuck and yes I have the Kingdoms Pack, could you help thanks

    One of your downloads is corrupt. If you know at what percentage your installation failed you could take an educated guess which part was corrupt.

    The total size of the installer is 916,939KB
    The first part (EXE) is 358,400KB = 0 to 39%
    The second part (DO1) is 358,400KB = 39 to 78%
    The third part (DO2) is 200,139KB = 78 to 100%

    Go into advanced mode, highlight the text you want to spoiler, click the 'exclamation sign' button.
    I have this same problem playing Normans: CTD on trying to play battle on the map.
    I changed the battle settings to low and one time I was able to play battle on the map against rebels (with general). After that no more.
    I play my game on XP.

    Was there a solution for this problem?

    About the color bug in battle, i use XP pro and i didn't mod anything.
    Effectively, it only do that in morning or evening.

    Hi,

    Well, i play a campain with the norman. I Keep Caen Paris and Cherbourg and i become a Duchy... and i have the message who invite me to save, exit and relaunch with the baptised norman exe... i do it and when i want to recruit unit, i can only recruit archers.... Where are my warriors ? So i look if i have to built some building for having warriors again, but i see nothing...

    So is it a bug or did i miss something ?

    Hummmm... Well... i look stupid... so i past the turn and now i have new units...

    The first time i played your mod it was on hotseat with my son... and i find the battles too long... when it was to my son to play, i took a book... But i tryed it again, alone, and your mod is really the number one of the mod who are historical (not like COW or TATW... but i like them too)... Wonderfull units (the shields are really awesome), when i launch it, i can t stop to play... and my wife call me to return in real life... This is only a beta, but it s really a great job...

    Cheers that fixed it. All in all one of the best mods I've tried concerning TW on par with Europa B and TTA. When (if) the accents get polished it will be truly gr8!

    Okay, I continued my norman campaign and let the AI resolve the battle. After that I was able to fight battles/sieges on the map.
    I guess it might be a bug in that specific place.

    I think the trigger for berserker is misspelt (beserker) so it pops up as an error in log
