About the 'one directory' question: when you download, use the same directory for all three parts. Most users have a preferred directory (mine is C:\Users\[username]\Downloads) or use the desktop. As long as all three parts are in one place\directory the installation will work.
Attached a screenshot on how to set a custom download directory in Firefox.

.. because this is the third major version with major changes!
First is simple develop version in the very early stage, Second is almost ready with good map, all units, tech tree ... but not a final and perfect. Third is the last version with many-many changes! Thats all folks

The problem lays with you I'm afriad.

I litterally download within 15 minutes (including all files, btw). Infact, oddly I download 3.05 Version faster than previous versions.
