Hi guys, this mod looks ace but I cannot for the life of me get it to work! I downloaded the mod and installed it as instructed but when the game loads and I try to start a campaign or a custom battle I get a CTD. After fiddling about and it still not working I uninstalled all mymods then the game itself, got rid of anything MTWII related, reinstalled the game, patched 1.5, installed mod...exact same result.

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

Does the log say anything? This should be in Bug Reports.

If you are getting past the splash screen then it's at least in the correct folder - a small consolation.

May I ask you to remove the mod and re-install only the base installer, no patches? If that let's you start the game then it's probably an incorrectly installed patch. And my favorite catch all for patched installations might help as well.

I tried to do what you said about not opening immedieately but downloading first then opening but I don't get the choice to download, only to open, open with or save. have you got any ideas? I really want to get this mod but this problem with the corrupt music file is driving me mad.

'Save' is the option to choose. If you get prompted for a directory always choose the same directory. The complete set of files needed for the game contains 14 files, all files have to be in the same directory:

part1 = EXE plus 4x DO
part2 = EXE plus 2x DO
part3 = EXE plus 5x DO

Run\double click one EXE at a time, the DO files will automatically install. Do not interrupt the install unless it pops an error message! When large files are being installed it may appear as if the installation has frozen\stopped.

ok i just installed the mod and it installed 3 desktop icons and i treid all 3 and they all seem the same so i would like to know what is the difference between these 3 launcher icons, baptized normans, pagan normans and the last kingdom?

'Last Kingdom' is the regular start, the other two change faction details after the conversion of the Normans (?)

hi guys, i downloaded the file from the first German site option yesterday, but my computer only finds an empire mod installer to install The The Last Kingdom, and if i use that installer it installs the empire mod not this one, any ideas on how to get this game installed?

Hey guys, i downloaded the files from the German site but cannot for the life of me get them to work. I've installed and extracted the files following the installation instructions, yet when i click on the shortcut icons it tells me that "the kingdoms exe." cannot be found. do i download this separately from somewhere else?

If not, how do i fix this? i really want to play this mod.

Either you do not have any of the kingdom expansion campaigns installed or you installed into the wrong directory

I can download the mod, but it just appears as one file in an unknown format and i can do nothing with it

It's 7zip format - get the free application and extract by right clicking the mod file and choosing 7zip\extract here.

Clicking the link in the download instruction would have helped

any idea why ur download sites are extremely slow???? everytime i go on them, trying to dl ur mod lol, looks pretty interesting, i am particularly interested in the dark ages of north western Europe so this should be fun
