    By the way, whats up with Tottenham trying to sabotage all of Arsenal's transfer targets?

    Redknapp has no shame.

    Clearly he saw Celtic's transfer strategy of waiting to see who Rangers went after then moving in and decided to follow it. Cheaper than employing scouts.

    Berbatov? You mean Berbaflop. He scores in the unimportant matches, with the exception of the liverpool hattrick this season. His own coach didn't even trust him to start in the CL final.

    Nani? He does backflips when he thinks they've beaten Bayern Munich in the Champions League, only to have Robben come and strike the death blow at old trafford and eliminate them from the CL a few minutes later. Nani is a child, and Messi showed you why in this year's CL.

    Valencia? What has he ever done of note? Except foul Messi left and right in this year's final.

    Carrick? Please, he's an old man. Xavi and Iniesta ran rings around him.

    Rooney Vidic and Hernandez are their stars. That's it.

    Overall, Arsenal has more talent, especially when you consider their youngsters like Wilshere.

    They have potential no doubt but realising that potential is something else (you didn't last season, even losing to a team in the cup final who ended up relegated).

    Let's do It this way:

    Disclaimer: Yes I know Arsenal plays with a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and ManU with a 4-4-1-1

    Szczesny vs De Gea => ManU
    Rafael/Fabio vs Sagna => Arsenal
    Vidic vs Djourou/Koscielny => ManU
    Vermaelen vs Ferdinand => Tie
    Evra vs Kibbs (or even Clichy) => ManU
    Song/Diaby vs Carrick/Fletcher => ManU
    Wilshere vs Scholes/Giggs => Arsenal (Yes I give you the permission to insult me )
    Nani/Young/Valencia vs Nasri/Walcott/Arshavin => Arsenal
    Rooney vs Fabregas => Tie
    Hernandez vs RvP => Arsenal

    In my opinion both teams have the same quality of players

    United's winning mentality is the only thing that they need to beat Arsenal, who have a losers mentality. That's why United can come back from 2 goals down to draw or win, at any ground in the country.

    People seem to forget that they were the second-best side in Europe last season, and being second behind Barcelona is perfectly acceptable.

    Agreed hard. That's why they were in the finals of the CL last year even with a mediocre team who lacked proper midfielders (except Giggs)

    And also how they won the league - they had the will power to keep grinding out wins (even the 1-0 boring type) when Arsenal and Chelsea were dropping points...

    I'd like if you'd prefer to have old account so you have the "stats" from previous seasons, aka your standings.
    But we should all get a team on the go nay? Is it the only one going?

    Clichy was in fault there too cause he should have followed the ball.

    City were a far better team in the 1st half but United improved a lot in the second and showed again their winning mentality (lol @Wenger btw).

    Also Smalling, Evans and Jones are all 3 very good defenders. Young played well. Nani was lazy but did his job. The others same as always with Anderson and Carrick not deserving to be in the starting 11.

    It's good to see the 'second string' United defenders (Evans, Smalling, Jones) playing just as well as Ferdinand/Vidic. Good depth there.

    De Gea. Time will tell.

    Cleverly looked very confident in midfield today, Nani and Rooney played well and Young added an extra dimension.

    His failure made me laugh out loud. His statement that he felt that Arsenal wasn't going to win anything followed by him handing Manchester United the Community shield in his first competetive game is going to help me explain the meaning of irony to a lot of people.

    What a kick in the balls that was for City. Man Utd put them right in their place today.

    There's another TWC League on The Suns Fantasy Football League as well. I have joined both the one on the Sun (Stevie's Heroes!) and the above one on the Premier League site (The Aigburth Boys!)

    17-year old Chamberlain expected to sign for Arsenal, from Southampton. £10 million for yet another "potential" , "prodigy" , "star of the future" youngster. Exactly the type of player the fans wanted - one with tried and tested class, leadership and EXPERIENCE!

    £10M on a 17 year old?!?!?!
    My oh my England, you never fail to entertain me

    Classic comparison : 20 year old Andre Schürrle transferred to Bayer Leverkusen for €8M, and he's already proven domestically and even got his first Germany call up last season
