I think that Liverpool is going to be the negative surprise this year. An overabundance of midfield talent is likely to hurt the team spirit. They only got a single target player and a quite weak backline so they got an odd mixture of extreme depth and vulnerability to injuries.

Well it was a pretty retarded idea to where a Man Utd jersey to Liverpool's tour of Asia.

Your not much of a Man Utd fan then if you would support a bunch of guys from your country over your club team. Those Liverpool Malaysian fans make me laugh as well, but at least they stick to their guns and support the team they claim to like.

Alexander Doni from Roma to Liverpool. Transfer of the summer...

    For Roma that is.

Doni is good in fits, but so error-prone that it's just stupid. I don't mean coming out to collect a corner in the box, i mean full-on rush of blood charges out of the box to the striker through on goal followed by the two-footed lunge that gets nothing of the ball and all of the man....

The actual signing i think is a good bit of business is Fulham getting Riise from Roma (another Roma player out...). He's a world-class LB as Liverpool fans should remember. His left foot is like a cannon...

Well, I can only root for the Toons this year since the Hammers are out of the EPL.

I hope that L'Pool get in the top 4 again though. With a team of their calibre, it's a waste seeing them mid-table, and also funny at some point.

Number 20 is in the bag. Look who's on the perch now It's nice knowing that Liverpool might be another 5 years until they win their first title. Fergie might be dead by then, that'll be their chance.

I wouldn't really say you can compare the domination of Liverpool anno 1986 to the domination of Man Utd anno 2011. We were still plenty of leagues above everyone else at that time, in terms of medals. Whereas LFC is still breathing down your neck in 2011. Also we dominated europe, Man Utd on the other hand is being.. err, dominated in Europe.

Hopefully City will be able to elbow their way over Utd. I have hopes for Wright-Phillips, bit lackluster against Stoke in May but he wasn't half bad against Club America this morning. I usually get attached to players who end up disappointing everyone but we'll see.

Yes I have a question : will Arsene Wenger actually spend the necessary cash to sort out the Arsenal? Gervinho could be a hit or miss in the Premier League (Although I tend towards the former) - but they seriously got to get some metal in the midfield, and at the back if they're going to get anywhere this season I think. Looking at the signing's Man United have made, Chelsea are going to strengthen - I think Liverpool could be challenging for the title this season - and we all know Man City will be a threat. I think there's a danger the Arsenal, and Tottenham as well are going to be left behind.

I think the old Whinger will not spend big, even if they offload Fabregas and/or Nasri, it is just not in his nature, and he continues to believe his team is good enough.......

Personally I think City will need a Striker to replace Tevez, if they do that then the title will be between them, Utd and Chelski.

I think that expecting all the Bin Dippers signings to gel at once is unlikely, and I still think the need at least one centre-back and a full-back. I expect they and Le Arse will battle for 4th.

The Filth, if they keep Modric will suffer as he will likely sulk, they need to offload and replace him. (isn't old case starting today. Given that Levy is holding on tightly to the purse strings and is looking to offload some 6 squad players before letting have anybody new I think they will be looking at battling 5th along with
Sunderland - who are quietly building a good squad (go on the Toon fans choke now)

possible others to challenge for 5th could be Villa, dependant on how they invest the Young and Downing funds, and if old Demba (I love the Toon) Ba stays fit then possible the Geordies.
