There were no bridges across a body of water at Constantinople, so i doubt it.
The guy on the bridge wear a lilly livery, so french ?
I looked up 1204 and found that picture on blogspot so I don't know if it could be.
Yes it is the siege of Constantinople of 1204, correct Meelis13 + rep (should I rep also all the guys in the bandwagon ? )

****! Diocle beat me to it by exactly one hour! Congratulations sir.
It pretty much looks just like the battle in Medieval 2, cannon emplacements and the building in the back and all that. Francis got owned though and Charles V apparently made it his grand victory even though he wasn't even there. I mean the victory for this battle can't really be attributed to anyone either since all the commanders did pretty well and it was mostly skill of the Spanish troops that allowed the Spanish to fully exploit the situation. Georg von Frundsberg for instance commanded the landsknecht but at the same time the victory wouldn't have been possible without the command and strategy of Lannoy and all of the others, so see what I mean?
Indeed. For me Pavia was one of the most unfortunate and exciting battles in history, there was probably something wrong in the choice of the camp by Francis, but you are right Money all the Commanders and the soldiers did their best. The Landskenechts played a primary role, the French Gendarmes did what they could, but the battle was already lost....The consequences were decisive for Italian History: France lost forever his role in the Peninsula. Pavia for me was a sad and tragic day.
Many hounorable knights died in the tragic dawn of Pavie, one for all Messieur De La Palisse (while the Perfect Knight, Pierre Terrail, Seigneur De Bayard, was killed one year before Pavie, in 1524 at river Sesia, ominous omen! Terrible war!):
Part of the Famous Song dedicated by his men to Messieur De La Palisse:
"Hιlas, La Palice est mort,
Est mort devant Pavie ;
Hιlas, s'il n'ιtait pas mort,
Il ferait encore envie"
"Alas, La Palice has died,
Died in front of Pavia;
Alas, if he was not dead,
He would still be alive"

Now Ladies and Gentleman, this is the battle:

Well it's not the Dutch Revolt, so I am thinking that it is Thirty Years or French wars of religion. Are the guys on the bottom wearing turbans? Question for you Diocle, why was it that Charles V was able to continually beat the French (I know that the French won many battles too but it seems that the Spanish victories were more significant.
I cannot give any clue, because it's already quite easy.......
About the French and the Empire in my opinion because:
1. The Spanish Infantry was the best Infantry of the World (pikes, arquebus, and sword and buckler)
2. Because the German Landskenechts were the Elite of the Elite of the Renaissance Infantry
3. Because the French aristocracyy relied too much on fighting mounted and charging the enemy infantry, they never dismounted to fight, so probably (I write probably because at Barletta the Noble French Gendarmes were defeated by a bunch of Italian Mercenary Knights in a public match) the French Cavalry was the best of the world but, it was now the time of the big pike bloks, it was the time of firearms, the musket soon will replace the arquebus...the French Aristocracy was outdated.
4. The Imperial manpower was enormous! Spain, Germany, Southern Italy, Flanders and also the British Allies of Charles.........
I can't tell if the guys on the bottom have turbans or not so I'll guess Kerezstes or Chocim.
