    That's not an actual named battle as far as I know, but a painting by Ivan Bilibin.

    Ahhh I was right about the Cumans (although they were on the receiving end of this)
    It was Igor Svyatoslavich's raid against the Polovtsians (Cumans)
    Admiral TvS led me to the specific person and raid, so I think he deserves some rep

    You are correct on both counts; it is a semi-legendary military campaign. Which military campaign is the illustrator referencing, though?
