    Federal forces invade the South!

On order from President Lincoln himself, Federal forces have invaded Virginia from three directions; The Army of Virginia from the North, Army of the Potomac from the Northwest, and Army of the Cumberland from the West. They have also been given orders to unconditionally free any and all slaves they encounter, as well as offering them spots in the Federal army; Many choose not to, seeing as they'd not want to get themselves just after being freed, but a few do join, eager to get revenge on their former masters...

    Federals gain:
    Army of the Potomac:
1x Vol. Inf. "General Charles' Africans"

    Army of the Cumberland:
    1x Vol. Inf. "Virginian Freedmen"

    ----------------

    Confederate Expedition moves into Mexico!

Seeking to assist the Conservatives in Mexico - as well as add some land to Texas - the Confederates have amassed an expeditionary force that has entered Mexico. It is small, for now, but likely will grow...

    Confederacy gains:
    Mexican Expeditionary Force
    Leader: Nathan Bedford Forrest
    3x Volunteer Infantry
    2x Infantry
    2x Cavalry
    1x Artillery
    2x Engineers

OOC: These are both free, but you have to calculate the upkeep.

    Southerners rally to Richmond's defense!
Following the massive invasion of Virginia by Federal forces, local Militias not associated with Confederate troops began rallying their everyone and their mother's old dog for the defense of Richmond.

    Confederacy gains:
    Army of Northern Virginia:
    1x Volunteer Infantry 'Southern Pride'
    1x Volunteer Infantry 'Dixie Division'

Federal forces call for Virginian assistance!
In response to the rallying of Southern Militias, President Lincoln called for Western-Virginian Unionists to rally to their cause.

Federal troops incite uprisings in Tennessee, North Carolina!

Following the Army of the Cumberland's entrance into Tennessee and North Carolina, the Federals promised money, food, land, and shelter to both Freed Slaves AND Unionist Whites in return for their service to the North, based off the fact that 80% of Tennesseeans voted against Secession.

    Federals gain:
1x Volunteer Infantry 'Black and White'
1x Volunteer Infantry 'East Tennessee Division'
1x Volunteer Infantry 'North Carolina Freedmen'
1x Volunteer Infantry 'Lower Class Vengeance'

    Federal forces encircle Richmond!

With the Confederates having taken absolutely no action at all to prevent the loss of almost ALL of Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, the combined forces of three Federal armies have surrounded Richmond, making it clear that they will not attack. Richmond has at it's disposal a large quantity of food, however, and will be able to hold out for close to a year(OOC: 10 Days). However, if they try to attack, they must make their attacks quick and powerful, while still leaving enough troops behind to defend Richmond. The Short-lived nation's days seem numbered...

OOC: Due to Barry's pointing out of over 400,000 Confederate troops in Richmond, the time of the seige has been reduced from 10 days to two(2) days to make it more accurate.
