Thread: Doubts about the province of Egypt in the mod

Default Doubts about the province of Egypt in the mod

    Four questions:
Excluiding Alexandria what cities appear in the mod in Egypt?
In the case appeared Thebes or Menfhis would have the appearance of Rome vanilla as at the time of the pharaohs or be modified?
Alexandria will have a unique look like Rome or Constantinople?
And at the beginning of the mod the paganism in Egypt will continue until the year 535 a.C with the prohibition of Justinian?
Reference: The cult of Amun in the Libyan desert Augila was prohibited, just as the remains of the cult of Isis on the island of Philae, near the first cataract of Nilo.

But the name of Aswan in roman-byzantine period was: Syene
Reference: In classical antiquity (Grecoroman) had the name of Siena (Syene) which derives Aswan ((Syene → As Syene → As Suen → As Suán → Asuán ).
And the aspect of Menfhis will be the Egypt city of Rome vanilla?

Memphis will have a mix of both, the ancient was very much present- as it is today- as well as Coptic churches, again much as it is today

I'm still not sure why the threads` name is "doubts about the province Egypt in the mod". What kind of doubts?
We prepared egyptian customized settlements for following cities (most work is finished):

    • Thēbai/Diospolis Megale
    • Sīwah
    • Aleksándreia
    • Syēnē
    • Memphis

of course the region has more provinces, but the rest gets an historical summorized settlement-plan (not vanilla!). This plan is still unfinished.

Perhaps you can tell us first how the city of Memphis was designed and looking like during the era between 500 and 600AD?
