Default RB 1936 Open History-Writing Thread

As one can guess from the title, this is the thread for the IH community to write the interwar history for the future faction based RB '36, from 1917 (where we left off) to 1936, exactly like the older thread to write WEF 1960's history. What has been established as RB 'canon' can be found in the original RB thread (where I put the timeline in the 4th or 5th post) as well as everything that happened in the run of RB '11. Rules, rules...there aren't many, and they're all pretty simple. No ridiculous stuff like Tannu Tuva singlehandedly breaking free from Russia, no completely out-of-character stuff like fanatically Puritan Columbia allying with the heavily Catholic HRE, no overwriting what's already been established in RB 'canon' and of course the TOS is still to be observed, so remain civil. Enjoy.

As previously stated, if you didn't like how RB '36 turned out further down the road you can vote to make it go away

I'll be gone for the next 2-3 hours, I'll read over anything that's been proposed when I get back.

So we install Roosevelt as Lord Chancellor and increase ties between Columbia and IU. Tensions flare again when they turn their ambitions to the South Americas. That's as far as my mind can go on this.

I guess that we start with where we left off.

Second Great American War Peace Treaty-

I think that a "Status Quo" situation should be created, where the British regain all of their canadian territory lost, and they annex Cuba from the Columbians. Columbia would have faced revolts and rebellions as a result of not only losing the war, but maybe even the spread of Catholicism throughout Spain and Colombia. Resulting in Mexico and another country being established.

Russo-German War- I think that the Germans would have won a victory, in technicality. But militarily, they would become a shell of their former selves, and still trying to recover from major losses inflicted by the Russians towards the middle of the war.

Russia would be economically, severely weakened. With minor revolts and rebellions in the east, but no major political changes.

The French Puppet States however, have broken free of Holy Roman rule, and have each become an independent state, making the political situation in France rather volatile.

    That's what I propose.

1919 - Columbia is defeated by IU forces; General O'Falvey's Combined Canadian Army marches through Boston after a ferocious battle just outside of the twin-cities of Lexington and Concord, as General O'Ryan and Admiral Shimazu take the West coast by force after the former has terrorized Columbian supply lines in the great plains, and the latter has led his fleet to many great victories in the Pacific.

As a result of the defeat, they lose the Great Lakes to the IU and Mexico to...well...Mexico, as well as having the majority of their South American holdings divided up amongst the nations there, permitting them only a small foothold in OTL Venezuela. They are also limited to an army of a maximum of 100,000 men, with no navy, air force, Cavalry, or Artillery forces. They are also forced to pay a crippling debt of 12,000,000 pounds to the IU. As a result, the Columbian population is infuriated.

That's all I can come up with for now.
when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.

So you are turning Columbia into Germany?

Heavy debt? Reduced armies? Angry populace? Lost holdings? All we need is a DMZ and they are exactly like Germany in the interim between WWI and WWII

Well who's going to be the USSR? We can't have a flipping WW2 without some Communist backup!

Communism was never created in this game.

    o.O Hm...

Anyhow, I still think that an independent South American country where Columbia once had control over them should be made. I am okay with the IU controlling the Great Lakes, but little more.

    I say
    1. Columbia goes down to modern americas borders (other then the over seas ones)
    2. Mexico and Central america maKe the United States of America()
    3. Panama, columbia, and venezuela make Gran Columbia(Yes I know it was once a nation)
    4. Germany signs a Peace Pact with Russia. In it Poland, The Teutonic Order, and The Ukraine are freed(nations germany made puppets but in the peace treaty they become free). Russia is hurt bad but germany is hit aswell and back in germany the HRE splits into Germany and Austria.
    5. The nations in France rebel and turn into The First French Republic (the first on earth in RB )
    6. Egypt becomes a nation(as the leading partys were pro fredom)
    7. Japan becomes a free nation?
    8. India becomes a nation
    9. The Philippines is freed as is Korea
    10. With a weak Russia it losses is puppets
    11. With a weak Russia the Ottoman Turks beat russia out of the middle east
    12. The Ottomans start to gain more land in the balcans(, I know it wont be put in but I would like it, When you think about it it very well could happen with all the crazy going down)
    13. Cyprus and Lebanon become two free nations aswell
    14. Some steepe nations under Russia are freed(In the end I would say a Russia with its modern borders)
    15. some other colony become autonomous(UK)
    16. China starts to come back and gets more powerful and modern slowly but surely

Yes its alot and most of it wont be used but its what I would do so it is thier
Number 11. was for you Kaits

@Peri It's very unrealistic that the Teutonic Order would exist as a nation at this time.
