    Default Missing bows

    I created a unit and imported a bow from another unit. I commented it right and assigned it. I also duplicated it 3 times afterwards for variation. But in game only a third of the unit has bows. For the rest of the soldiers in the unit have nothing, their bows are invisible. Why? How can I fix this?

    It's most likely the duplicated bow comments for the weapons are the same.

    I did just lod0 and have lod0 in all of the entries.

    The only other thing then is if they are assigned to a Material, or if you have more than one skeleton... Back convert the .mesh just to make sure you saved properly and all Comments and Material assignments are as they should be.

    I know this is an old thread but I still have this problem of some of the bows being missing. I have assigned it many times over, converted it many times but still is missing. It is also the same with the sheaths as some of them are missing as well.

    What program did you use to merge bows with the rest of the model?

    I have checked those possibilites, I used milkshape to merge the models. It has worked fine for all the other merging I have done. Only the bows and sheaths sometimes dissapear.

    Have you deleted the extra figure and attachments groups?
    If not please do...
    Use GOM to merge models and parts like weapons..Its safer that way.
    Are th ebow belong to a unit that used unique animations like a unit of TATW or something like that?

    I deleted the extra figure and attachments when I re uv mapped and textured it. The bow belonged to the vanilla models and also I tried it with two bows, a normal bow from one model, and a longbow from another model.

    Upload the model and its textures in .dds format to allow us to see what the problem is and make a list of what was wrong in 1st place.

    Sorry for bumping, but I'm having the same problem aswell.
    The bow's shadow shows, and also when the unit is lit on fire. But the bow is completely invisible. I know it's something to do with the texture in itself.

    it may be cause of wrong texture format converting.i mean dtx5 u should chose.

    1st Merge your unit with the bow ussing GOM tool.
    2nd Make sure that the bow/s have the proper comments example:

    The problem was with the texture itself. I discovered it by switching it with another texture and it worked. That means I should get another texture for it. Still, Thank you both.
    Also, I read this in another thread (that you commented on)...What is the difference between assigning bows to "bone_Lhand" and "bone_weapon01" (like vanilla models)?
