    -_-

Golden Horde is a Major. Besides, Hungary doesn't get the Black Army for another 100 years.

    Major powers:
    England - Dan the Man
    France - Krum the Bulgarian
    Castile
    Aragon
    Mamluks
    Golden Horde
    Hungary
    Luxembourg (Emperor)

Since we needs Majors, I'll go ahead and be Castile. Add some zest to the Iberian peninsula.

Yep, like I said you can take any major, including the GH. Though tbh they aren't all that important (yet) since there are no players there, yet.

And nothing stopping you from trying to develop a proto-Fekete Sereg since we at least have handcannons, likewise all other players can try to develop new elite formations - just provide me with the specifications and I'll give you the price & training times

Well, joining a popular Trade League allows you to have more than 3 trading partners. For example, let's say that you, Serbia, already have 3 trading partners; the Byzzies, Naples & Hungary. Join the Genoese Trading League which, for the sake of this example, also includes Castile and Portugal, and not only will you have gained a fourth trading partner in Genoa, you'll also get the ability to enter a trade agreement of any level with Castile and/or Portugal since they're in the same trade league.

I've got an idea for a couple Teutonic Order special units, Barry.

Black Army, even if a Proto version > Golden Horde.
..Besides..isn't the Horde a bunch of arguing Khans whose leader has limited authority?
    Hungary it is.

Mamluks, because they're actually a powerful nation.

Yeah, the Mamluks start out as a friggin powerhouse, if highly decentralized. The Ottomans have a massive amount of opportunities to expand though, the Byzzies are in decline and the Serbian Empire is fracturing internally (sowwy Kaits ) while their opponents to the east are about equal in strength to them, if not weaker.

Also, all taken majors' starting unique units are done.
