acropolis

i have had a thought, why dont we make certain hellenetic cettlements have an "acroplois" we could do that by making them fortresses and not have the ability to upgrade further, and on the campaign map put in a new teture so it looks like it has an acropolis?

An acropolis isn't a fortress, it's a central place of the Hellenic city.

But the idea stay good

It is actually, it usually means the citadel of the city. Akropolises we not restricted to Hellenic nations though, most peoples had similar fortifications.

Yeah, i have though about the "Acropole" in Athen, and remember that it was the center of the city, and a Temple's place, dedicated to the gods.
After my post, i have read a little, and found that it was a citadel as a last resort in the majority of cases.

acropolis wasnt the centre of the city it was the place where the temple of the major god of the city where and sometimes the palace.the center of a greek city was the agora
