    Default Easy EDU Editor

Version 1.00 of the EDU Editor is here. Easy editing of many parts of the Medieval II EDU for anyone

Please report any crashes and bugs so problems can be fixed. Suggestions are always welcomed aswell.

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

NOTE: First time modders should read this first
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=221093

PS Saving is a two part process to ensure all changes are correctly written out. Editing must be disabled before you can save to file. File is automatically written to your My Documents folder to give another chance to backup the current EDU.

PSS I don't intend on doing anything more than bug fixes for a while. I do have intentions of coming back, but I have other stuff to do first(a similar program for the EDB maybe).

    Version History

    v1.00 (10 September 2011)

    Regional recruitment zones recognized
    Some text editing now usable

    v0.70 (11 August 2011)
    Numerical writing capability added.
    Search functions fixed.

    v0.50 to v0.52

Basic features fully implemented by v_0.52.

    UPDATE

The next update may take slightly longer than expected(never try programming with a cold), but work progresses. I should be finished the next version in the next two weeks(assuming I don't get sick again)

Currently, browsing the units in the EDU with all the data labeled. Things like environmental effects, secondary weapons, morale, and discipline which aren't displayed ingame are visible aswell as all the standard info.
When it's finished, most of the data will be editable. I'm also planning things like a compare function, and en-mass changes to some things such as base unit size for all infantry.

Are there any links to basic EDU editing? I might be interested in playing around with unit stats, but I have no idea where to start...
"Every idea is an incitement. It offers itself for belief and if believed it is acted on unless some other belief outweighs it or some failure of energy stifles the movement at its birth. The only difference between the expression of an opinion and an incitement in the narrower sense is the speaker's enthusiasm for the result. Eloquence may set fire to reason." -Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

Looks great, hope that you will be able to finish it. I tried it using the Kingdoms Grand Campaign mod and had no problems viewing the units.

Just an update to say I haven't forgotten about this and am still working on it. I'm getting close to being able to mod through the program. Could be quite a while before that happens though as Uni is running again, and what I have got is causing an error when I try to use it (I hate errors in programs, they're so difficult to find sometimes).

Apologies for the delay, but I don't want to release something that crashes everyones games

Good work - a little tip: edit the first post to show all the updates (version history), that will be easier for someone new to the thread, especially when it starts spanning several pages. Example here.

    Keep it up!
