TWW2 Signup Thread

This is the signup thread for The Wild West, Version 2. Remember to iron out a party background first, and to adjust your bio accordingly so it doesn't look like the party was a bunch of strangers spontaneously deciding to work together one day in Salvation.

The game hasn't started yet BTW, as I've said I'm waiting until RB is dead first. I'll post a notification in the main thread when it's time to get started, but at least this way you'll have plenty of time to create & modify your character before the game begins

The character format is thus:

Equipment: Everybody will start with a Remington M1858, a Pocket Knife, a Pony and three extra packs of ammo. You may also choose between a Dreyse needle gun or a Volcanic repeating rifle when starting, pick the one that suits your playing style. Keep track of this at all times, btw.
Biography: As usual, I don't need a novel, but I don't want trashy pamphlets either. And again, adjust your bio accordingly to fit with the party background.

Biography: Little is known of his past besides the fact that he immigrated to America from Shanghai at a young age. He was raised in a traditional Chinese household, speaks Mandarin and English (albeit with a heavy accent), and believes heavenly in the mandate of heaven, the Chinese pantheon, and traditional folk-methods of discerning the future and the will of the Jade Emperor. He is not the most trustworthy of men, and was placed in prison for attempting to con some wealthy white visitors to Salvation's Chinatown.

Biography: Discharged from the army, Phillip Schenk was tired of life back East, and plans to make a living out west, one way or another. He took a train, one that had an unfortunate date with destiny, as it was soon robbed and all his valuables taken, sans his army issued revolver and his pocket knife that had been with him since he signed up.With his army background and experience in a Pennsylvanian regiment, Phil hopes to be able to use his past as an advantage in this ruthless environment. Though the mere notion of hurting innocence disturbes him to the core, he is willing to do whatever it takes to survive. Caught in the middle of a bar fight, Phil was taken to jail to "cool down" where he would meet a surprising crew of people (WIP, since this is a WEF TWW )

Biography:
Daughter of French immigrants who came to the UKA to start a new life after her father lost most of his money in gambling and feeding is drinking addiction. He bought some land out west and started to settle there, growing some meager crops and making enough to get by. One day, at least a year or two ago, a outlaw gang were rampaging through the area and decided to loot the homstead,killing her entire family and taking nearly everything that wasn't hidden or too heavy to take. She came home from meeting the man her father wanted her to marry (a alcoholic like him, except his family were rather rich, and the man was attracted to her. Her father considered her to be his ticket to high society.), and found her life ruined. Swearing revenge, she took the two guns her father bought, her pocket knife, and her pony and started to track the outlaws, slowly picking them off as they stopped at towns to enjoy the entertainment and harass people. She had gotten to most of them, except for one who fled to Salvation, and two others who fled to mexico. She found the one in Salvation and was about to kill him..after exacting revenge for the gang's crimes against her..that, and she had developed a sadistic personality over the course of time while hunting her prey. She had shot the man in the arms, legs, and nearly every non-lethal area..and was about to slit his throat slowly when several lawmen arrested her for looking like a female accomplice in a recent bank robbery. The man, heavily injured, would escape...for now. She then was thrown in jail, and blends in by wearing the typical coat and hat of the west, except she looks alot smaller than the men in prison.

Biography:

Malcolm Boyd is a physician who owned and ran a pharmacy in a flourishing gold-rush town. However, after the gold dried up, so did business. After passing out his supplies to the townsfolk, Malcolm burnt his store in an attempted insurance scam, only to find the money stolen by his business "partner". Jobless and penniless (except for his fine suits, which he could not bear to part with), Malcolm has taken up a job with a band of mercenaries, providing them medical care when needed.

Biography: Originally a Leiutenant-Colonal in a U.K.(read: British) Guard Brigade, Sherman became a mercenary and fought with a band of Germans and Spaniards in the service of the U.K.A. during their recent war in Central America(OOC: It's somewhere in the timeline for WEF). He was arrested by U.K.A. Police after supposedly leading an attack on a town on the border with Texas; in reality, it was his band of mercenaries acting without his permission(not to mention they thought the town was in Texas). He was transferred to a military prison in New York following that, but the warden feared he might try to incite a rebellion amongst the prisoners(many of whom were, themselves, prisoners of war), and so he was transferred to Salvation.

Biography:Born in Belfast to shipworkers, Nick joined the British regulars intending to see the world. He volunteered for the Corps of His Majesty's Royal Marines. His squadron, the 46th RM, got sent to Mexico City to assassinate the Mexican President. After a vicious firefight his squad got cornered in an alleyway and was forced to surrender. As POWs the survivors in his squad were sent to a work camp near the border with the U.S. After spending 18 months in the camp him and 2 of his squad members escaped. They headed for the U.S. border and came across a company of the U.S. Army border patrol. They captured the group and tortured them thinking they were spies sent by the Mexicans. Nick's 2 squad members were violently killed and he himself was mortally injured. After spending 2 months in an army hospital he was sentenced to life in federal jail and immediatly shipped to Salvation's prison

Biography: Born in the slumbs of Rotterdam and travelled to the New World with his family in the hopes of a better life, John became an orphan at the age of 12 when his parents were killed in a robbery. He was taken under the wing of his uncle in Texas who owned a small cattle ranch. He became quite skilled with a rifle and often went out to hunt on local wildlife with his friends. He left the ranch at the age of 19 and started a new life in the city, hoping to join a gang of frontiersmen or mercenaries.

Biography:He claims to be a British noble exiled to the Americas after killing a man, few believe this story. He landed in New York a few years ago and soon made a name for himself as a hustler. Moving across the country after he was kicked out of casino and town, time after time. He finally arrived in the West with a few suitcases and some cash he had made on the way. He was a fine shot and few messed with him, yet he was sneered at for almost having this story of nobility. Within days of his arrival in the West he was thrown out of a saloon for cheating at poker and arrested for brawling. He is skilled at shooting, talking and having a quick hand, on the gun and on the cards.

Born in Britain, near Cardiff, Wales, Jeremiah was a little bit of an outcast in the schools and never liked whenever he was doing honest work. One day, he stowed away on a ship going to America, where he hoped to acquire a new life. Life has been hard for Watson, and he was slowly forced west after a short career as a thief and pickpocket on the East Coast. Now a brigand, and only recently caught, he seems willing to accept his fate, unless Lady Luck was kind to him and a jailbreak occurred...

Biography: Born in the free-settler state of South Australia to loving German parents, he was soon found to be too romantic and free-spirited for his own good. After earning a bad reputation around the area for his amorous adventures, refusal to do honest work (he was an artist) and playful shenanigans, he left home for the gold-rush frenzy of Victoria and the civilisation of Melbourne. Whilst heading there, he fell victim to alcoholism and bad company, and before reaching Melbourne was coerced into joining a bushranger gang. He proved himself a good shot and a keen mind, but was heavily caught up in taunting the authorities and Robin Hood notions. However, his gang was plagued by greedy infighting and xenophobic sentiment, and he left to find a more ideal gang of people's heroes. After finding nothing but criminals and blood, he went solo for a while - but the bloody downfall of the legendary Kelly Gang, as well as the brutal murder of 'Gentleman' Ben Hall, and several close encounters with the Felons' Apprehension Act, convinced Ritter that a change of pace was needed. Immigrating to Germany, he joined the army in an attempt to settle down, but soon got into trouble and escaped to the UKA, where he could live the same romantic frontier lifestyle he had back home, but with less bloodshed - but he soon discovered that the Wild West is nothing if not meaningless violence.

Looks good to me. The other guys might be a bit peeved about another foreign character though. We're in the Wild West and we have all of four characters who are actual Americans.
