    Hi Granathar. This mod is far from finnished. The original sponge mod had alot of missing unit icons, unbalanced stats etc. I haven't had the time to fix this issue yet but i will later on.

    When it comes to DUMC, i'm not playing DMUC myself . I play DM because DMUC alreade have tons of units wich obviosly will cause compatible problems. I will add reskins and units to all euro factions so there will not be a lack units. Also, all units in this mod wear uniforms from the same era (1752 - 1763).
    The stats from this mod will be vanilla untill someone has the time and will to change it to DM stats.

    Hi Whaler99. Well this mod focus on historical accuarcy rather than fancy uniforms. However i have changed faces of some unit but there's still a few units with rather uggly faces

    Your right, most line infantry has replaced vanilla ones so that the factions are more unique and historically correct

    this mod doesnt seem to work for me. when i start empire total war there are no new units or any sign of there being any changes whatsoever. i installed the mod correctly, placing the file in the data folder and adding the correct entry to the user.empire_script but it still doesnt run. help?

    So you can start game but you don't see around 24 factions to choose from? And the many new units that are available in the custom battle menu?

    Have you deleted your script file? Delete "last used mods" and the "fx cache" and try again. Perhaps you use another mod that is conflicting with sponge.

    i actually finally managed to get it to work. turns out my user.empire_script would change the entry to asian characters for some reason. so i just created a new user.empire_script file and re-entered everything and it works fine now. thanks for the response though haha

    It could be possible to create an accurate model for this officer
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 


    The base models could be euro_officer1.
    Legs could be replace with death head hussar legs (deaths_head_hussar).
    The body could be modified to use some parts from death head hussard coat.
    Hands could be replace with euro_regiment_of_horse gloves.

    Mmm if you want to make the unit sizes so its fits DMUC i am afraid is more than just unit sizes... as many other stats will differ from Sponges mod. unit size is found in db_ under (unit_tables) there you will see columns that have various entries including unit size you will need db_editor or pfm to alter this.

    There are Prussian and Austrian units available in Swedish and Danish rosters...i use the 7yw pack with DarthMod 6.95. is that normal or a bug?

    Well this is a "vanilla sponge mod bug". As my mod is currently 1.0 there are many bugs left from spongemod. I'm working on fixing these issues atm. In next version i will disable some units with wrong textures, glitches, stats and units that shouldn't be recruitable for some factions.
    It's good you mentioned it because i almost forgot about the problem.


    New saxon infantry texture: Still some things to do like changing the colour of the grenadier hat to green and yellow aswell as changing their boots for socks. Im quite happy with the new mitre cap though

    These Saxons are really good!
    I have another thing to point out: the drummers. Inverting the colours of drummer uniforms wasn't a widespread practice during the 7yw! If i remember well it was common on both sides during the Independence War of 1775-1782, and by French Napoleonic cavalry.
    Central European powers like prussia and austria surely never adopted that habit.

    Hi. Well if your refering to the austrians then yes, the drummers didn't have reversed uniforms they had coloured stripes on their shoulder and arms just like other drummers from the period. I guess joedreck didn't find a good source and was improvising.

    Hi wangrin. Yes these parts could work and it will make hungarian officers look different from normal officers.



    Here's the final version of the saxon line and grenadiers: Prinz Friedrich August regiment. They would look better if they had yellow pom poms on their hats though.

    Thanks wangrin. Anny help is appreciated, no worries though. I rather take time than releasing improving the mod rather than release new versions quickly. I think the line infantry variants is the most important atm, poms pigtails and the likes. The small details really makes a diffarance


    Saxon line/gren reskins complete. There is a texture glitch for the saxon guard grenadiers as they appear dark but i will try locating the problem.

    ACmilan88 - Can you change the entry for the euro_grenadiers_bearskin to something like euro_grenadiers_bearskin1 as this entry is causing a lot of problems with other mods including my TAR mod! dont forget to change the warscape lod entry as well in the db files. cheers

    also the ability of recruiting stock (ugly) units shuold be deleted! As far I've seen, the Prussians are still able to recruit stock line infantry and the French are still able to recruit stock grenadiers ( wich oddly have the skin of Austrian Kaiser grenadiers now!)
