Thread: Next historical battle poll

    Default Next historical battle poll

I'm going to rest a while after the monster release of Eylau, Austerlitz and Waterloo.

Nonetheless i'm interested in your opinion about the next battle which will be a medium engagment, please vote if you're interest.

My favourite picks are Rivoli, Quatre Bras, Castiglione and Corunna (already done the OOB thanx to FalconFive).
Jena is tempting because I already have the units graphic done with the work on Auerstadt.

Thanx Tac. Fenix and I can stand the endless work of an historical battle because we can count on people like you that can fully appreciate them.

I voted Albuera - amazing battle to read about! I think we need a peninsular war battle or 2 aswell.

Fullin's Corunna map was based on historical topography and along with the OOB it seems the majority of the work is already there. That would be letting you off easy so I'll go for Borodino.

    Borodino? Wagram ?????? Lepzig???????

Uhmmm...I talked about medium battle Sir, you're suggesting monster battles double the size of Waterloo...forget, i have a life too

Seems Jena is getting upper hand. Still a month to go, let's see. Nobody for Rivoli, I'm all alone...

I still have to check Corunna map...I'm afraid Fullin said it was not based on real topo data, but just on rough map of the battle. Saddly After I discovered the google map routine height layer is the easiest part of the map, trees and buildings are the one who kill me.

Quatre Bras ticks all the boxes for me..

    -interesting battle and release schedule
    -very tactically interesting map
    -manageable units
-well known and lots of "what if" potential (link to a possible Ligny and Waterloo with drop in surving rosters, in the old battleground hex pc game style)
-enjoyable and already finished units (on the most part= less work)

*btw Des, if you want my Tactical Warfare Mod work for improved realism, you know i'll be glad to help.
