[UNRESOLVED] can only play Ultimate campaign

hi there fellow darthers,

I played DMUC 6.2 up to now, but decided today to give 6.95 a try:

- uninstalled all DMUC stuff
- verified on steam
- installed DMUC 6.2
- installed patch 6.95


started a empire campaign. game loaded, but there were no changes at all, everything in vanilla.
started an ultimate campaign, and tatataaraaa... DMUC was working properly.

after that I installed the music mod, then I got crashes everytime I start an empire campaign, Ultimate works still fine.
would be great to get some help, I donīt like the ultimate campaign that much, because of the billion os money you get at the beginning.

Hi aus-rotten - I have this week done the same, installed 6.2 and the 6.95 patch and Custom and Late work fine as Ultimate (not tried Warpath), I have not tried the music mod.

Perhaps your scripts are corrupted, try a reset in options = diagnostics = enable adv diag options = reset dmuc user scripts

if that does not work then I would re-install 6.2 and then the patch make sure it works ok then try the music mod

thanks for your help. I ran the diagnostics. after that I could start the empire campaign, but with the same problem as before: the darthmod intro movie is running, after that everything is vanilla.
any more tips?

I simply donīt get why its running in vanilla at the empire campaigns and ind proper darthmod in the ultimate campaigns.

Hi aus-rotten - just to be sure we are on the same page, the initial menu when you launch DMUC changed slightly from earlier versions you should have choose your destiny then option one is DMUC Campaigns, option 2 in Empire Campaigns.

Option 2 should be basic Empire Campaigns, if you click you have some menu options GC, RTI etc.,
Option 1 is the DMUC Campaigns where you access the Ultimate, Ultimate Late, Custom etc.

If after the diagnostic reset no change and assuming you still have the original DMUC files that you downloaded personally I would reinstall the DMUC 6.2 and 6.95, leave the Music MOD out try the Campaigns and make sure they work.

If they do and you re-install the Music MOD and the issue re-occurs then we will have to look into that further

Yes, i've followed them. The cuestion is that i also have installed the music mod, like aus-rotten, and without it it works fine. Is there any solution to play darthmod with that music mod installed?

I'm having the same issue. Tried all the suggested solutions, but none work. Grand Campaign was working fine before installing the update, then it started crashing. I reinstalled the Mod and the update, and now the game loads, but the grand campaign doesn't change from vanilla. The Ultimate Campaign works fine.

Also, I don't have the music mod installed, so that's not the issue. Using Windows 7.

ok, I deinstalled DMUC, verified the game, then installed DMUC 6.2, started a grand campaign from the Empire campaigns ind the DMUC launcher: no problems, works properly.
after that I installed patch 6,95, started a grand campaign again =) no difference to the vanilla game. as soon as I start DMUC campaign, it works fine.

I remember now, that I had the exact same problem a few months ago, when I tried to install the 6,8plus Patch. unfortunatly there was no solution for that problem.
seems Iīm stuck with 6.7...

Hmm, I wish I had time to look into this further at the moment. However I'll only have time over the summer holidays to try to fix any bugs in the game/launcher unfortunately. Needless to say this will be looked into.

The latest update that works, and the only one we support, is 6.95. Its not as bug free as I would like, but that is it. No older versions are available for download.

There is a bug in The Empire Campaign script (for everyone). If you start an empire campaign as I did as your FIRST DMUC game, and set a user script by tweaking any option, then that user script is copied over to ALL DMUC modes, thus causing ctds when trying another mode.

The fix is in my post.



My problem is I was just starting a battle in Ultimate Campaign, and Windows Updates somehow overrode my normal settings and restarted the damn machine. Now I'm getting a CTD every few minutes. Verified via steam, all ok, going to try reinstalling DMUC and see if that helps. .....grrhh, stupid windows updates, and me being up all night....
