Next Patch

In the next patch we'll have:

1) a totally reworked Ancillaries system. Retinues will be much more culture specific, and less generic, than in vanilla, and you'll be able to see Roman patriots, Carthaginian merchants, mistresses, and Greek orators.

2) speaking of Carthaginian merchants, they'll be making an entrance into the world of Classical Italy, available *only* to Carthage. There will be interspersed several highly lucrative resources throughout Italy, which largely only Carthaginian merchants will be able to sit on, and reap more fortunes than in Vanilla, which would be necessary to keep the Carthaginian empire and military machine afloat.

3) Etruscans will be getting a face-lift, with a brand new interface, and no longer having Aztec settlements (erm ):

While reworking ancillaries I did notice that the building costs are a bit extreme, so expect quite a bit building prices lowering in the next patch.

I have been thinking about some trait suggestions, mainly for the Oscans for now. I read through the char traits in the data folder as to not suggest any repeats and I will edit them in this post when I put them together.

There'll be fun new ancillaries coming out next: zeus figurines, roman orators, oscan scout ambushers, greek mathematicians and doctors (who'll be able to heal the precious few hoplites), golden gallic cornyxes, etc.

-fixed CTD with selectable custom-battle settlements.
-fixed Aztec settlements for Etruscans/Apulians.

hi people,

as usual, here i am again - after a lot of time

few days ago i reinstalled med2, and after a long time i checked this forum - just to discover that a new PI version has been made!

So, in those few days i started working on it again. Basically, i've had some fun in adding new things (some messages, some scripting). One thing is a little unconvincing: what happened to north italy in the map?? There are no rivers?

The map hasn't been finalised yet due to it's huge size (takes an enormous amount of time to make it look right). Siggy will brief you in the internal forum.
