    Default Minor modding.

How might one add a unit from one faction to another? Like if I wanted to have Gondor able to recruit Town Defenders in Rohan territory rather than Peasant Militia, how would I do that?

Also, I just recently discovered LOTR TW Last Alliance, but it appears that I can't play because I am patched to the current one. How might I find a way to play Last Alliance?

That doesn't really help me for just simply adding a unit that already exists to another sides roster as well.

All I want to do is make other units, such as Town Defenders of Rohan, recruitable to Gondor when they have control of Rohan's lands. I hate Peasant Militia...They are utterly useless and I hate their throwing spears attack. I would much rather have Town Defenders. Can anyone help me to just change something like that?

However, you were the first to respond..You get a reputation point from me

I figured it out, but the unit cards won't work with other factions, and if I add too many to one faction the game won't work anymore.

New question...What tool/program could I use to create a new unit? I mean skinning and all that stuff.

Okay so I'm trying to create a new unit for practice...Basically, I'm converting the Tower Guards into a sort of more powerful militia for Gondor, strength between Men at Arms and Guardsmen. I'm attempting to change the color of the tunics and shields of the Tower Guards to the color of the Guardsmen...that's basically it. But I can't open the files with GIMP because the DDS plugin isn't working on my computer. It says "This application has failed to start because libgimp-2.0-0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." when I attempt to run it.

I am kind of disappointed because I have been wanting to create a new unit or two but I can't.

Anyone know of something that can help me?

Wow...Nevermind. I found out there was both a unit and a skin for just what I was trying to make in the game files. The creators just didn't include it in the recruitable section....Lol
