Shogun 2 freezes during AI turn! Need help!

other than trying a different save, or auto save or try dx9 mode, nothing i know of.

I got the same problem as Masamune Zenith. I'm playing as the Date and it gets stuck at Hatakeyama. I tried all those stuff and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I have the same problem, using windows 7 64. Game freezes often during the Uesugi turn.
Still no fix?

I have all dlc installed, and I run a 7 on 64 bites, with 16 gb ddr3 and a ati 5750;
I experiment this stupid bug of "stack" on the turn screen change; Like other guys, my mouse work fine, let-me to go on menu, etc, but the game just "stuck" on "thinking" the next strategy;
Like you guys I try everything: switch on dx9, load older saves (sucks to make same battles again, on hard mode...) but always when i come in that point - the game get on AI stuck...
I change the virtual memory, etc, all what i grab on all forums; nothing work; so, i try a logical solution; b/c look like AI have troubles to "find-out" what to do, (i play shimazu and the game "stuck" on other clan turn) - i try all combination of diplomacy with that clan: from declaring war to offer trade and help on "join war" ; Big surprise for me after I help them with war against all enemies and received trade agreement on change - big surprise: the (stupid !!!) AI just "pass" with light speed from that point and the game run smooth again !
So, my friends, for me work-out well the "change" in game strategy; just try all possibles variants of diplomacy with the factions who get stuck;

Well I have a different problem. I have now 2 fleets which if I touch them – game just frizzes up I can move them and that is all – any change I status ( adding or taking ships from ir / sinking ) just freezes up game. So I have took one as an experiment to an open sea, and just see if it sinks by itself – and it das but freezes a game again.

Win 7 64. “naked” shogun and system is new – comp is 1 mth old. G74SX so GTX 560 ( 3G vram) 16 G of ram.
And other thing - can i start the game without STEAM ?

Since you are the only one reporting it, verify the game cache. It's in there someplace.
