    Default DarthMod 2,5 Open Beta part4

    I have decided to offer an open beta prior to the release of the new update, because this time it will need extensive campaign testing.

    So those who argued about "impossible" challenge (including diadok who always gives trustworthy feedback) please test this beta:


    • CAI has less repression bonuses so it can not blitz as easily and cannot overwhelm the human player as decisively. This will make it to leave some units in castles so the human player will have difficulty in attacking the AI as well. Also the Ikko Ikki will have significant disadvantage in conquering different religion provinces but also the advantage of fanatic resistance against those who attack them.
    • Warrior monk Naginata cavalry no longer requires a lot to be built just Ikko Ikki temple tier 3 and above.
    • CAI will not built so many samurai but will also built Ashigaru after middle campaign game.
    • Light cavalry not so strong any more.
    • Mori clan more aggressive, Uesugi and Tokugawa more defensive. This should change the campaign balance and the survival ability of these clans.
    • Ashikaga no unit spam mod is less strong (The Ashikaga need more powerful armies: The Ashikaga Boost mod will not be updated with this open beta).
    • Realm divide effect negated (will be put as an option in the launcher)!
    • Matchlock Ashigaru can be recruited sooner (Need now "Attack by Fire").
    • Matchlock Kobaya and Siege Bune can be recruited sooner (Need now "Attack by Fire"). (Needs testing)
    • Matchlock Samurai can be recruited sooner (Need now "Siege Powder Maker" building).
    • AI should send more trade ships in trade nodes. (Needs testing)
    • Many diplomacy changes to calm down the CAI over aggressiveness against the human player after middle turns in the campaign game. (Needs testing)
    • The realm divide effect is much softer: initial diplomacy effect is -1 and increased by -1 until it reaches the max=-25. (Needs testing)

    darthmod_shogun_open_beta_update4.zip
    Unzip and place the darthmod_shogun.pack in your game folder, for example:
    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\total war shogun 2\data
    If you want to test the No realm divide option, put the file DMS_Realm_Divide.pack in your game folder to enable. (To disable just put it out).

    Notes:
    -This is not compatible with the "extra gameplay options" of DMS launcher (vanilla garrison, handicaps, etc).
    -You can apply to your ongoing campaign.

    Not impossible for Mr Kami, but for me yeah... i restart an Ikko Ikki campaign in Hard difficulty with 2.5 beta, and i must admit than it is slowly easier (less difficult) than before. I have not been blitz by all neighbours like every other times.

    After 40 turns situation is dangerous but still viable :

    Have done only one battle (i have trapped an Oda invader fullstack) and the melee penetration is impressive. I circle and slaughtered them, and it saved my campaign because the second fullstack immediatly retreat. If i would have to fight the two stacks together, it would have been the end of Ikko Ikki...

    It reminds me something i have tell 2 times and i can confirm : Mori faction is always killed by minor factions few turns after starting (they survived and became powerfull 1 time, in something like 50 campaigns i launch !!!)

    Keep the info coming. I have no time to reply but you will see your feedback implemented in the next changelog, according to my filtering.

    EDIT:

    The Ito clan freezes (sounds and movements are ok) during the Ai turn...
    I reload 3 turns before and it always freeze at winter 1549.
    I installed for the same campaign the v2,45 and 2,5 next. The first bug was with v2,45 yesterday.

    I see a lot of mods there... no DarthMod fault it seems. But cannot tell what it is. It may be anything else.
    Open beta cannot be tested like that Brips friend.

    The only mod there that could possibly have caused it there is two socks, and i only say that because im not sure what it is. The rest have nothing to do with it as they have no affect on the campaign whatsoever.

    Darth=>Never had this before with all open betas or other mods. No new mods since a long time, just updates, like you can see on the screen.


    5 choices:
    -Campaign bug with Ito.
    -Campaign Darthmod bug with Ito.
    -AUM 2,3 Ito recruiting something.
    -Updated mod broke campaign with same savedgame.
    -A mix...


    The winner is?

    Nice, might make it easier early game for them. Double edged sword though. I like the Monk Cavalry being easier to recruit; I was just thinking about that in my campaign.

    Damn I have been discovered ... I am the first coder hiding his work in sublayers of sound. But the sonic subconscious message should have been "I Love Twosocks" - I must have coded something wrong.

    New update. Check the changelog. I want to finish this the soonest possible because here in Greece things are not well, and I do not know how my free time will be allocated the coming days...
