The first one from this?
This is confusing compared to the Nvidia Drivers.
yup, looks good to me
its not confusing at all
its simple
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
1) please select a value... your running a desktop so pick desktop
2) please select product family hmmm HD 5770 that would mean you would pick HD Radeon as your gpu is an Radeon HD 5770 that was easy yes?
3) please select product aka gpu family 5770 is HD 5000 or 5xxx
4) select operating system self explanatory.
done
or if you were smart
Just install Steam, Steam has AMD gpu drivers built in now so you can just download the drivers for your AMD / ATi graphics card directly through steam.
aka go here
http://store.steampowered.com/
scroll down on the right side you will see featured partners click on AMD after clicking on AMD it will take you to this page
http://store.steampowered.com/hardware/amd
oh look at that steam can auto scan your system and help you update your drivers
oh and look at that the NEW amd drivers if you go into the Catalyst Control Center now renamed to AMD Vision Engine Control Center if your drivers are out of date it will ask you if you wish to update when you first boot in and open the control center.
AMD drivers are no more difficult then Nvidia. problem is people have forgotten how to google... that and AMD killing the ATi brand didnt help most uneducated PC users either as they search for ATi instead of AMD.
altho getting your drivers off AMD's website is still best. as steam is always a few driver revisions behind. and that can be bad for some brand new AAA games like Witcher 2 that needs the 11.5b hotfix drivers to run well. anyway point is its only as hard as you make it out to be and im pretty sure the following link proves how easy it is..

hotfixes are standalone drivers like the main patch. They just include the 32 bit and 64 bit versions so anyone can install them thats why the .exe is bigger. So uninstall all drivers using the ATI removal tool, download and install driver sweeper, boot into safe mode and clean all left over drivers using driver sweeper, and boot regularly and install the hotfix.
