Which units?
The poeni towered elephants get absolutely slaughtered by the ponim adonim heavy cavalry: strange for what is quoted as "the heaviest in cavalry" . This was tested during a one-on-one custom battle. I always get a black screen from print screen, so I am afraid I cannot post a screenshot. I suppose it is has more to do with the stats, than it being a real bug, but it is funny nonetheless.
The black screen when taking a screen shot is normal behavior of M2TW. The elephants are only available in custom battle because they have some problems with their model insofar that they are invulnerable to infantry. I had nerfed them down in order to fix it by simple coding, but that didn't do the trick - just made them weaker to cavalry.
Is the elephant bug fixable? Cuz elephants in the campaign would be friggin' awesome!
I see... too bad that the model maker of your team is gone
I hope that someone in or out the team soon will pop up and help us out with this.
all bodygaurd units do
Militia has the same recruit as upkeep costs to simulate the "null" initial costs for raising militia. In return they start with zero experience and have higher upkeep (than professionals of the same class) to simulate the higher "social" costs for drafting otherwise productive citizens to the army.Hire/Recruit and upkeep got the same rates...reduce the upkeeping costs to 1/2
hi i downloaded it but it loads up in windowed mode how do i change this ?
Apply this config file in mod folder.
cfgPItalica2.rar
ok, now it works. didnīt know that i had to call the last folder exactly "PItalica2". by the way, when get the provinces some streets? PI is one of my favorite mods, but i need some streets to expand much faster.
I dont think this is much of a bug, but I've noticed alot of sounds overlapping/meshing(ex: weapon hit clang happening so many times per second that it just starts sounds like chop) together. Its a simple fix so I went ahead and did it. I invite you to try it out and compare. All I did was balance out the sound priority/volumes to levels that you see in other mods like SS/RB etc. Also, since you guys haven't finished putting in all your custom sounds(atleast thats how it looks under the hood) this basically makes everything balanced in terms of levels across the board so it is much easier to make an adjustment say if you want to make a gallic yell higher than a greeks. After testing I can now hear all of the weapon/shield hits clearly and units screaming/yelling/dying.
P.S. all you have to do of course if copy/paste into data and dont forget to delete the sound idx files
Everytime I play as the Greeks and I'm loading into a battle it crashes then says "unspecific error has occurred and now exiting." The only Hoplital infintry unit that doesn't make me crash is the Hoplital spartiatal.
