One thing I've noticed is that when fighting the Pirate Mob on the battlefield their use of pistols is VERY OP, it's almost as if someone is machine gunning your men down, I know you don't fight them often but would be a good idea to tone them down a bit!

I do not have the possibility to modify the model to proper animation of beats per the drums for kettledrummer.
Is it possible to make a compilation of existing movements in the game animation ..

    About Sweden:
Karlskrona shipyard isnt located over at Ingria, the nearest port is Visby.
About half as much soldiers were drafted from Finland as from Sweden,
Indelningsverket had barely got a foothold in Baltics,
the major city/recruitment in Ingria should swap place with Finland.

No. First of all the next release will only feature Hannover, Saxony and Prussia and for Saxony and Prussia a lot of campaign adjustments have to be done.

Is it possible for the future that you can have historical messages for the 18th century as the years happen...?? In other words year by year? They were able to do this for the colonialism mod that just cam out yesterday and that is for the 17th century.

Yes poa that's another good reason to have a year by year historical event reading instead of just random pieces of information that a lot are from the 19th century in the vanilla ETW. Hopefully I.S team will implement this idea.

Is there some to kill off cavalry without killing horses?

This would require someone who writes the info texts. Right now we do not even have info texts for all new units. But in general this a good idea

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a NTW thing, so most likely not possible in ETW?!

So. I just got this working (first time around, long time ago, I screwed up installation and didn't play ETW since). I picked United Provinces for my campaign (using 3TPY submod). So far, I'm in economic trouble. I make measly ~3k per turn, and most of it goes for unit replenishment and recruiting as I'm still seriously undergunned. Predictably, I got into war with Spain, and Westphalia also decided to take a piece of me.... my first actions were to take out pirates (as a whole faction) out to clear up the naval routes...I used my initial army to do that, while building proper army in my home (currently 6 line infantry, 2 grenadiers), improve home port and max out trade fleet (currently on 16 ships-took a galleon and extra indiaman from Spain).

So, I need to improve economy...I haven't really paid that much attention to it in vanilla...so I'm not sure what will work better for me, build roads (virtually all my trade is via sea), build better government buildings or just save and expand towns (that's hellishly expensive). Trade agreements are maxed out...but the piracy in mediterranean takes it toll.

Also, the units. I've read a bit that a lot of information is not available on stat cards. So I'd appreciate some info about the unit differences. I noticed that my line infantry uses platoon fire....surprisingly, quite effectively, considering that in vanilla it was a screwup.

    Hi,

As our Developers Diary had been quite for a while I want to give you an update about the pogress that have been made and that have not been posted here.
At first: I havn't new unit for you are any other picture.

Now the things that will be new in the next version for RotR:
My Hannover submod will be inclueded in the next version with all previews I posted in the thread of my good old submod. This won't be the only German state Saxony and Prussia will obviously be reworked too. Furthermore the USA (there is already a preview in the world) will be new in the next release. And of course we will improve Great Britain and France!

With reworking or adding I don't mean that only new units will be added, we will do much more for those 6 states. Every state will get it's own techtrees. If you take a look at the USA preview (or my submod) you will see that each fraction will get individual techs but also some fractions will share som techs as they represent a common pogress (at least in Europe), an example is the Scientific Method, Classical Economy or Natural History.

But that's not all. Each of the six fractions will get a historical government (obviously the own which were 1783 in place) with historical portraits if they are available (for some persons we couldn't find a portrait). Furthermore there will be more historical persons, generals, gentleman, diplomats, admirals either available at the start or recruitable. Sadly, due limits of the game engine we can not offer you to play with Napoleon or Wellington. But you will have the opportunity to play with Nelson, Blücher, Scharnhorst (as a Hanoverian general, he joint the Prussian army only in 1801), the Duke of York, Anthony Wayne Dumouriez, the Marquies de la Fayette, Adam Smith, Joseph Banks, Georg Lichtenberg, Immanuel Kant, Benjamin Franklin and many more.
Also the European kings and queens will get historical portraits.

I hope I could satisfy your curiosity.

If you have any further suggestions, ideas for techs or the feeling that a historical person must be inclueded, just post them here:

Cool stuff, can't wait for next update your mod is just amazing.
May I ask if there is a way to recruit Vendean Volunteers in the campaign, or do they just appear as rebels if you choose to fight for the republic ?

Could we get some French migrant units ?
    https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arm%C3...%A9migr%C3%A9s
See the illustrations on the French article, each unit has it's own Wikipedia page.
I feel like we need more Royalist units as there was counter revolutionary armies like at Valmy, I guess they could be included in ofreign army rosters.
    Tell me what you think.

I love your mod, can't wait for next update I have to say find the economy a bit tricky to manage and the price of units completely insane.

I just wanted to add that it would be great to decrease the accuracy of muskets they are way too accurate and that would be much more realistic.
