Ability for ships to dock at neutral ports to repair had mentioned this for NTW and ETW, this means that they can stay out in theatre longer, this is more effective on a larger campaign map.
Hell, I'd go so far as to be able to garrison allied cities.
That would help keep them alive.

- Allow the player to choose the lowest setting for campaign map without affecting the battle map.
- Allow the player to skip 2 3 or 5 turns at once if the gameplay wasn't interesting or slow.
- Upgrading units during the battle in terms of commanding, rally experience skills.
- Allow the player to execute any general for treason.
- Allow the player to plan his own fortress and defense strategy by choosing where in the campaign and the battle map. also, utilizing the terrain in his favor.
- Performance preference where player can choose not to show any dead bodies during battle.
- Applying a strategy rather than a single tech discovery which provides a group of benefits and bonuses which lead to a number of discoveries as well.
- Allow the player to revise a strategy to increase its efficiency and effectiveness or researching another tech discovery.
Just so you know, you can already kill generals. Just disband them.

I was hoping for a cut scene like the one in shogun and the sepuku thing.
Why they make it exclusive to shogun.
in rome the sentes request the faction leader to commit suicide. if they had a cut scene where a man cut himself in bath that would rise the game rating.
I have no crashes in Shogun II Fots and played 914 hours already.
I would like the use of allied ports, like the trains.
1) Late Game Challenge - AI should be utilizing advanced units like Armstrong / Gatling Guns, Ironclads, copper or steel plated ships, troops using advanced tactics (like kneel fire)... 1/3 through the game, both Campaign and Battle AI seems like it's left in the dust of the player's advance...
It is understandable that AI doesn't field Foreign powers - to avoid blue and blue conundrum... Other than that, would be great to have one freaking campaign against advanced and cunning AI
Have never seen a gun greater than Parrott in AI control. Have only encountered wooden ships - late game naval tactics end up being single player Ironclad sinking entire AI navies over and over...
2) When disembarking Army off of ships, Agents should come with - I should not have to spend an extra turn to disembark one freaking person!
1) I think that it is very irrational to have 3 different naval units for every type of armor protection (wooden, copper, steel).
It would be much better to have an real-life\historical upgrades for ship armor. Also wooden ones becomes obsolete and cannot be used for real battles.
So if you have wooden-protected corvettes you should be able to cover it by copper or metal (upgrading as in Medieval or Rome). As we know, wooden ships was partialy upgraded by steam engines, and some steam ships was upgraded by metal armor.
2) Maybe it is a little bit unfortunate for my fleet, but in naval battle enemy fleet in 7 seconds burnt 3 of my ships. Is it realistic? Even on very easy?
3) as StukaJr says, agents should be disembarked with armies. And they should exit towns with armies also.

Probably already stated somewhere, but for me its:
1.) Ability to "group" stacks on the campaign map and move as one now that we can have more commandable units in a battle.
2.) Be able to upgrade your veteran troops with better skills and equipment via a General as well as foreign vet, or even in a town with the appropriate training facility. Perhaps a more limited amount of skills could be upgraded via a General however as he wouldn't have skills of a FV. Or, General could learn western techniques and then be able to "train" his army fully.
3.) I'd like very much for experience points for warships to increase gun range, accuracy and reload rate please - not melee stats only.
4.) Upgrade of veteran warships to latest cladding is essential and is removing limits on how many frigates you can have. Grrr....
5.) Star forts should be historically correct - not the same citadel model with pointy bits tacked on please. That is just silly.
6.) Ability to recruit specific admirals for your fleets with their own naval skill tree.
Man is the only animal that deals in that atrocity of atrocities, War. He is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out...and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel. ..And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood off his hands and works for "the universal brotherhood of man"-- with his mouth.

A plea to CA: Please give us NON-STEAM OPTIONS such as with GOG.COM`s Alan Wake and Witcher 2, etc. Even allow a system such that Mount and Blade Uses. Many of us will pay extra for a Steam-free version of RTW2.
The use of STEAM-ONLY by CA is ethically wrong because:
1. It does not need to be forced. It could be optional as other games have proven.
2. It discriminates between internet users and non-users or those who simply do not want it.
3. The `advantages` are only advantages in a very small and superficial manner. They do not counter the disadvantages.
4. It suits the company way more than the user. We are simply told it`s better for us
Finally,I shall not give CA|SEGA my money for RTW2 while it forces Steam on me. They have given us no good reason why it must be so. Basically they don`t care.
A Steam Option would benefit ALL. Don`t fight us, JOIN us.
Games don`t need forced Steam
If human player could stack many agents into an army, sure Ai could do it too but it would raise many more problems, mainly due to AI's incapability to properly maneuver its super-stacked army(ies) against human opponent. As it is right now, my stack of a high star general with decent (mid tier) units and 3 monk/geisha is already nigh impossible to stop.
You already kinda can - just camp your stacks around their towns and fight "large battles"... I imagine you start outside of walls, but allegiances are so fragile in S2 or FOTS they never last
Adding to the garrison of AI is a nightmare - what if AI betrays and attacks you? What if you betray AI and its cities are overwhelmingly garrisoned by "your" troops.
