    It has to sound authentic. Please note the bagpipes and fiddles/violins are anachronistic, and their association with "Celtic" music is a modern one dating to the post-Medieval period.

    Haha, so anything I can work on guitar probably won't help!

    I dont know if the team has standardised this or fixed in recent releases, but previously there was uneven development in traits and ancillaries by faction. Some have a lot, some a lot less. I'm thinking about temple priests, for example. Some recruit them quickly and easily and for some factions they used to be missing. What I would like to do is review the current state of the mod with regards to ancillaries and do some standardisation so that each faction gets their proper share from investment in infrastructure. Please send me a PM if the team is interested. I have some experiencing scripting and I've played EB for a long time, but I've never done this before.

    thanks for your time. i love the mod, i love the game, and i love the mission.

    There are quite some mistakes in the Latin terms. One example can be found in the description of Equites Romani.

    Many of the mounts (the equo publico) ...
    Unlike English, Latin is a highly inflective language. Each noun has twelve different forms based on case and number. It is even worse for adjectives as the form will also depends on the gender of the nouns that they qualify.

    Equo publico is either dative singular or ablative singular. But we want nominative plural in the description. So it should be replaced by "equi publici".

    I would be happy to volunteer to help correct other similar mistakes.

    These have been fixed by our Roman historian now, I believe.

    Could you tell us a bit more about your qualifications? You can PM me if you don't want such information to be publicly shared.

    I tend to edit my posts once or several times after writing and uploading them. Please keep this in mind when reading a recent post of mine. Also, should someone, for some unimaginable reason, wish to rep me, please add your username in the process, so I can at least know whom to be grateful towards.

    My thanks in advance.

    Salve!

    I am not a modder, nor much of a forum-goer, but I am a long-time fan of Total War and EB, played I and downloading II as I type. V. excited!
    I have recently graduated as an Ancient Historian, and I am happy to help with any writing/researching. I have quite a bit of spare time. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the offer of help. What region/culture/civilisation/language, if any, do you specialise in?

    I'm happy to delve into anything, really, but primarily Roman (of course), though have dabbled in Greece, Assyria/Babylon/Persia, Egypt, and the Celts. I've written on Roman politics, intelligence, Roman Britain; pretty standard, but also happy to learn/research/write in any way I can. As for language, I wouldn't trust myself with anything too complex on that Latin front! (alas! Working on it.)

    I'm interested in Play-testing/Scripting.

    As for qualification:
    I played thousands of hours of M2TW:K and its mods since it was released;
    I have a degree in CS;
    I played every patch of EB2 and helped finding some bug in the early versions of the colony system.

    It seems there's still a lot need to be done in the scripts, let me know if you want me help writing some or proof-reading it.

    I'd like to offer my services as an editor/proofreader so that all the descriptions, histories, etc. are error-free.

    Any interest in creating a basic strategy or unit synopsis for each faction on the faction selection screen?

    Like in vanilla MTW2 it has the little box showing strengths and weaknesses. Venice listed strengths of strong Italian militia and excellent late heavy infantry and weakness was a lack of cavalry types. If the team is interested, I can do a short writeup for each faction. It would list roster strengths and weaknesses and cover the basics of colonist/government systems.

    QuintusSertorius: I have sent you a private message, yesterday, regarding a possible Italian translation of EB II. I'm not sure, though, if you received it. Have you? I have never used private messages before, so I might have done something wrong.

    I'd be inclined to aid with playtesting/proofreading angles on a casual basis.
