Thread: How do I know if it's working?

Default How do I know if it's working?

    Hi,
I downloaded the pack-only version and put darthmod_shogun.pack into the Data folder, and the user script into the correct folder. Is that all I have to do? Are there any tell-tales so I know that it's working?

If you play a custom battle, and DM is properly installed, the unit sizes will be even bigger than ultra -- I can't remember exactly but a Yari Ashigaru unit should have at least 300 spears. In campaign (you may need to start a new campaign), agents will have three skill points when leveling up.

Also, the AI is not completely retarded.

1.5 x mulitplier will give you 300, while 2x multiplier is 400 for yari ashi

Yes, sounds about right. I'm using a custom 1.5 multiplier as 2.0 is too much, even for my Acer 5943G -- and my Yari Ashigarus have 300 spears.

While I'm at it, I wish the DarthMod launcher had an option for 1.5 multiplier, not just 2.0. I think 2.0 is too much for many players, and vanilla is just not enough for most, so a 1.5 multiplier could prove usable for many.

Nah, I used the normal unit size script.

After playing for a while now, I can definitely tell Darth is working. Battles between units last a lot longer; morale isn't as dependent on generals anymore; archers do very little damage; some other stuff. Overall, I'm not sure if I like these changes.
