Absolutely no interest unless they bring back true RPG mechanics. If it's just going to be another "Mass Effect with swords and without fun" title like DA2, then I'll skip this one.

The last game was rushed way, way too fast, if they rush DA3 out the door as well then I'm done with this series. DA2 could have been so much better with some more time in development.

they need to bring back character customization no armor changing? really? lame, sub par characters, recycled dungeons to the extreme, DA2 was so rushed it makes epic fail games seem better then they are lol. DA:O was great it was nostalgic brought me back to the time when i played epic RPGS like the original Neverwinter nights, and Baldurs Gate 1 + 2. DA2 was more like a a slower paced, Dynasty Warriors meets Mass effect, run in straight line kill everything from A to B rinse repeat through countless places ive already been to 80 times.

Take DA2, add new armor, rename it DA3 and release it in August. There will still be alot of people who will buy it, like it and defend it

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be released this year anyway. They still have a whole bunch of DLC to release before we get to that point.

I think it was obvious to anyone playing DA2 that there would be a DA3 though, so I don't quite understand all the hate.

I hope they take a lot of time to make a decent sequel (I know i'm a dreamer)
Anyway, I'm curious about the new location. I'd like to see the Tevinter, or Rivain..

Hopefully they'll learn from DA2 and spend more time developing it. Not to mention coming up with a story that holds its own weight rather than sets up another sequel.

I was just expecting them to postpone this announcement only after they released ME3. As in, only after they proved they can make a good game again... throw the bone again and give hope.

this? Barely 2 months after everyone shouted that DA2 was too rushed, they do this. Do they have any PR skills for the DA franchise? Are they gonna use the same "awesome button" guy to announce future features of the game?

I think it's been clear to almost everyone that Mass Effect is BioWare's special game. Dragon Age is something it sells to fanboys who like gay elf sex.

Origins did not feel like this

actually, it's not as if something was 'revealed'
they just said they are starting the development, which was pretty obvious before

If they:

1. Tone down retarded combat
2. Actually give the player meaningful decisions (this means not telling sister petrice to

off and then having to do the quest anyway, FFS)
3. Get a better non-posh actress for female Hawke (I swear, give her Miranda or Isabela's, theirs are actually 100x better) since even when you pick dickish, aggressive responses its hardly convincing at all
4. I never want to see Hawke again, URGH, new protagonist definitely
5. not so much reused environments. origins had unique environments for all of the major areas of the game, and even places which you spent pretty much two seconds in had unique environments! (i'm looking at you, mage origin storage caves)
6. DONT DONT DONT DONT RUSH IT

goddamnit, 6 so much. there's a whole load of other stuff, but seriously, bioware needs to take their time with DA3. it was quite painful in DA2 when i would replay the game and even when i chose sarcastic or dick options (interpret that as you will), NPCs would always perhaps after saying one different line would just go back to what they would have said even if you were all like 'please please please let me help you !!!'

the only time i can recall things being different is this time when you get prompted to talk to anders and if youre all like 'WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW ANDERS' hes like gawd, all i wanted to do was talk and then the convo ends. now yeah, that sucked so i reloaded but little things like that at least give you options.
