I was trying to do the voices for Northmen with sort of a gravely sounding, gruff voice. But my microphone sucks and there's a bunch of static on it. Kind of annoying =/

I thought I would throw in something silly. They are annoying creatures from one of my brother's favourite games - the Final Fantasy series. My brother did the recordings not I.

My primary issue is that my USB headset isn't being detected by my computer and Audacity, which comes as an annoying surprise as it was detected rather quickly on my old laptop. Yet for some reason despite following the online guides to the letter t still won't pick it up.

Getting on my nerves as with my backup headset there is this horrible humming noise in the background that I can't deal with. Was aimng to have Northmen done but issues like that along with my personal life have worked against me.

BUT we still need someone to provide us with a good Northman voice. The voice should sound English but with a hint of Germanic/Scandinavian.

Please submit a couple of tracks. We want to hear your voice!

If it wasn't you who wrote this, I'd say this is the crappy english word-by-word translation of some german phrase! Or, is it?

My English unfortunately has been americanized. But I still spell colour with an u (and I don't know the word "thru". Brrrr, awkward)!

It's an English phrase, as far as I know - probably from the Bible. We use it over here (the phrase, not the Bible) to denote something that has gone kaput

Same problem I had, couldn't sort out the static when I got a new computer, rendered my Northmen voices unusable, that and I made them sound too Dwarvish

Swedish might work, as long as the accent is not too strong. A Swede trying to sound a bit English might work

Wasn't sure what you're looking for so I just used my normal Icelandic accent.
